Awesome sleep solution -- cotton version perfect for warmer days
After giving birth to our baby, the hospital swaddled our baby in hospital blankets. While this was easy and perfectly fine at home with the same blankets or muslin sheets, our baby managed to get her arms out some way or another and unravel herself. We also didn't want to go through the process of wrapping a squirmy baby perfectly every time. In came the HALO, which we saw was highly recommended in baby resources and on Amazon. We bought a fleece and a cotton version (this one). As soon as we zipped baby inside the sack, she could kick all she wanted while we swaddled her arms down and shut the velcro. What an easy way to get baby calm and ready for naps! She always sleeps much better when she is swaddled inside a halo. The difference between the fleece and cotton is that the fleece is perfect for baby when she is sleeping alone during the winter (co-sleeper or crib). We found that the cotton wasn't warm enough in a 69-71 degree set home. Her feet would still be cold, even in a sleep n play onesie. However, whenever the house was especially warm or when we napped together with her in our bed, the fleece was too hot (she would get heat rashes), making the cotton version a perfect swaddling solution. We rotate between this cotton and fleece depending on weather and situation. It was great for us to have both options. The only drawback of the cotton is that you really have to get those arms wrapped tight...the flaps seem longer because it is thinner material. Otherwise, baby will wriggle her arms out. With the fleece, it isn't as much as a problem because you are working with thicker material.

Great product, laundering is harder, but still 5 stars!
I love this sleep sack - we had a fleece one with our first and liked it ok, but I decided to try cotton this time around and I LOVE it! (More breathable, less bulky, but still with all the functionality of the fleece one we had been given). They keep my son comfortably snuggled, it has easy access for diaper changing with the reverse zipper so I don’t have to completely unswaddled him every time, and they are super soft and durable. But more than all that, and most important to me, is that he sleeps better in it. :) I will say that they are slightly harder to wash/dry than regular laundry because I have to zip/swaddle them all up, then turn it inside out (so the strong Velcro won’t attach to other articles of clothing), and often I need to dry it a little longer than the rest of my load, HOWEVER, I still wouldn’t remove a star for that. They have helped us all sleep better and I will happily take an extra step or two to clean it if it means we all comfortably catch a few more Zzzz’s! ;)

The best swaddle
We tried so many swaddles before this one. Our baby was having a hard time sleeping because he was starling and waking himself up. This was the only swaddle that kept him asleep. I think he likes having hip and leg room but his upper body tight.

One of the better ones out there!
We've used this for about a week after going through a few swaddles and so far it has worked well for our 2 week old. She likes to keep one hand out so we are able to do that with the velcro. We are still hoping she can stay down for longer than 3 hours especially at night but the swaddle is definitely nice and soft and came as advertised with the pattern that we selected. It is light weight enough that it doesn't feel too hot but also keeps her warm at night.

Great product
Easy to use compared to a blanket swaddle. Cute patterns to choose from.

This is AMAZING
This is amazing. This is the 4th swaddle we’ve tried and I am so happy I found this.My newborn hates being swaddled but has such a strong startle reflex she constantly wakes herself up if she isn’t. I tried the muslin square swaddles everyone loves, but she’s too strong so will get her hands out, and HATES it. I would have to wait to swadddle her asleep, and even still she would fight it so much she would spit up at some times.. so you can imagine I couldn’t keep this up. Then I tried the miracle swaddle, actually super easy and great but still not for a baby that doesn’t like being swaddled - same issues. Then I tried the spider monkey ones but it didn’t fit her well. Then this came along - magic. Brilliant design and great quality. The sleep sack zipper is great for changing her, the design makes swaddling so simple and I have no fighting back from baby since there’s no wrapping involved - just a simple closure in front. I put her down asleep and then gently close the front and viola. MagicQuality is great, price is great, so easy and the best product to swaddle any baby, let alone a baby that hates to be swaddled

Two-way zipper is a must!
I have purchased multiple of these Halo sleep sacks, and this is the ONLY one that I found to have a two way zipper, which is essential for late night diaper changes. I love this one becasue of its light, soft, cotton material that my summer newborn loves, and is easy to keep him swaddled securely all night long. The other Halo sleep sacks I purchased with only one zipper are less nice to use but this one is a winner!

Best of the 4 swaddles I tried
I tried anais muslins, grobag, swaddle me and love to dream swaddled and this is the only one she would wear without complaint. It’s great because it’s roomy around the legs, it acts sort of like a sleeping bag, it has large velcro areas for the swaddle so you can make it right and loose. If anyone is desperate to swaddle like I was this one worked a treat

Five Stars
Expensive but totally worth it for the early days. My baby was extremely cozy in it.

Comfy Roomy Swaddle
This was purchased for my granddaughter who has hip dysplasia and has had to wear a harness 24hrs a day from 12 days old. She couldn't fit in any other type because of this but this one is wide at the bottom which allows her free movement. She loves it too and has slept really well at night since wearing it. Very cute jungle design too :-)

Good but very sticky
This is a good product but the velcro is highly sticky. This is a good attribute but it also causes the sleep sack to stick to EVERYTHING (the bed, my baby's clothes, other items in the washing machine when washed). As such, it is a bit fiddly. However, it does keep my baby's hands in place while she sleep so it does its intended job.

Simple to use
Great for late night sleep haze swaddling. My kid was big/strong so we found blanket swaddles too easy for him to break out of but this held him in really well
