My first love was classic Star Trek. Capt Kirk was awesome. Spock was the best side-kick ever and Bones was always there to crab about something. When I was watching Star Trek everything was going to be all right. Despite the pictures from Vietnam on the news and the constant threat of nuclear war in the papers. So the symbol for "Live Long and Prosper" that I carve into this leather bag, is a wonderful reminder that things will be alright as long as you believe the "IDIC" or infinite diversity in infinite combinations is a good philosophy to follow. We are all part of this planet and we are all related. :) This satchel is made from vegetable tanned leather which is fairly non-pliant and very tough. I hand stitched it with nylon sinew that has at least 70 test strength. The hand stitching on this bag takes hours of patient application. I am confident it will last you years and years. And as with all the things in my shop, if it requires repair, I will do so free of charge.
