Psoas Muscle Release Tool and Personal Body Massage for Release Back Bain, Trigger Point Physical Therapy with 6 Massage Heads

I live in excruciating lower back/hip pain and have reduced mobility as a result. First, I managed to get onto the floor. I laid down on this thing and started mid/upper buttock (big balls on 2nd hole in and 2 smaller balls in middle) and slid it up in three increments until it was at my lower back. I remained in place for about 30 - 60 seconds and FORCED myself to relax my butt muscles. Did it hurt? You bet your sweet p'tootie it hurt. But, as I laid there, I could feel the muscles releasing and, when I sat up, I could move my legs and body far more easily than before. Later, I had to do some cleaning in my bedroom which normally takes hours because I have to sit down every few minutes due to spasming. I got everything done in about an hour - including moving my queen size bed to sweep underneath - and experienced no pain. NO PAIN. I can't tell you how long it's been since I've been without pain. Of course, it's not a cure-all and they pain did return. But it seems like, to work, there has to be some activity immediately following the treatment. Now, I've seen comments complaining about the small size. That it's not made for bigger people. Here's the thing. It's not like your skeleton and/or attached muscles get wider as you get wider. I am fat. FAT. It worked for me. It'll work for you. If the pain is the kind of pain you get when someone pushes on your knots, push through it. It'll be worth it.

I bought this somewhat impulsively when I saw the words "psoas muscle release" because I've had problems with my psoas in the past. When I received it, I found the instructions in the box rather cryptic. I came back to the Amazon site, found more and better info, and realized all I really need to do is adjust the ball size/width to align with trigger points and simply lay on it for a few minutes, for each body part. It provides tremendous relief from stiff, tired and painful muscles, in every part of your body. I use it for my butt/hips, back and legs (several points on thighs and calves), neck and arms.The instructions on Amazon say if it feels "too painful" when you first lay on it, use a towel for padding. I get great relaxation and relief results. I typically use this at the end of the day before going to bed and it really helps.

I like this product, its simple, sturdy, and easy to use. I think wood is more comfortable than plastic, could be just a personal preference. Maybe use a towel or something to cushion the balls if you're more sensitive to pressure. Good for working out stubborn painful knots, can be used on pretty much any body part. I used it on my abdomen to get the psoas, and it worked pretty well, ditto for all the muscles along my spine, and on the low back. Honestly I should give it 5 stars. I just hate how everything on Amazon has 5 stars, and its hard to trust the reviews.

I would rate this product very highly, except it was sent with two large and four small balls rather than 2 lg, 2 med, 2 sm balls. So, it doesn’t fit for the purpose as advertised. The balls are supposed to fit in the base simultaneously. They do not. It’s too heavy and bulky to return……so, my loss. This is happening more and more on Amazon. Pieces broken, missing, defective, open, used and some that have contaminants such as mold. Brick and mortar stores are looking more convenient after all.

To me, this is the best replacement to replicate the school desk (IYKYK)! I haven't been able to get a psoas release from this, but I find with the smaller pegs attached, I can get some really good movement (read: cracks) out of my mid back. I can also slide my back up and down this and get some really nice massge around my spine. I've had this for around two years now, and its one of the tools I use almost daily for relief.
