Easy to connect, use and stays charged for a long time!
The keyboard is used regularly for uni work and as a result, is subjected to A LOT of typing, it has withstood the test of time, the battery appears to be excellent, and when the Mac is in sleep mode it also goes to sleep which further preserves the battery. It is also supplied with Apple's new braided Type-C to lightning cable which makes it seem more premium.

Sold as refurbished but brand new
The product came in fantastic secure packaging. Apple released the keyboard with Touch ID recently with the new iMac. I considered buying this initially from Apple but found it significantly cheaper on Amazon. Granted this might not come with the original warranty but I'm ok with that. It came with a brand new cable as well and gave my Mac mini the convenience of the Touch ID functionality which was simply not available previously.I'll provide a long term update once I have used this further.

Not OEM keys - sadly light grey rather than white. Otherwise excellent.
Firstly, this product came in excellent condition and everything works super good. Plugged into lighting/usb connection attached to my MacBook and it worked straight away including the Touch ID button. So far 5*.But then I noticed that the keyboard was ever so slightly lighter in weight than the original one I was replacing, and then I noticed that the keys are not a pure white like the one it's replacing but a very light grey. I thought that was odd and thought maybe Apple had brought out an update - but checked the model number and they are identical A2449!... so it looks to me that these are replacement keys, and obviously not OEM Apple ones. That's all fine by me if they were in appearance the same, however, as they are distinctly not the same colour as an original unit (and judging by the weight are made of a cheaper plastic - arguably), this really should have been more clearly and specifically mentioned as a key caveat in the listing. So, £100 for a refurbished unit with different colour keys to a new unit from that clearly looks different (see pic) is not such a great bargain... I will stick with it rather than return it as it's still saving me £50, is clean and in excellent condition, and works great; but my very happy purchase is suddenly a little... grey! :-/
