No where in the ad does it state
No where in the ad did it state that. #-1-- IT IS ONLY FOR THE BACK of the scalp NOT FRONT. #2 --- IT TAKES UP TO 2 MONTHS TO work #3--It's NOT FOR WOMEN ,,, it does state it in small print on the box but when you receive it. (Surprised a noted company like MD -Bosley would not note THIS PERTINENT INFO in their on-line Product Description) ,,,ALSO When i first tried to return , I found it was not eligible for a return/refund or exchange. But after going round & round with the Amazin on-line Asst, I was able to get a refund ( i noticed today they revised this policy & now the ad states "refund /exchange eligible & its $8 cheaper today)

As good as any other minoxidil
This is just as good as any other brand of minoxidil. All minoxidil products have the same warnings and side effects... because they're all minoxidil regardless of the brand name. In this case the brand is Bosley, but the ingredient is the same - minoxidil. It does work. You do have to keep up with it. I even use it on my brows to get hairs to grow in that were not growing for me for a good 15/20 years due to over plucking in my younger days. Had patches that just wouldn't fill in even after years and years of letting them grow out. Researched. Found out minoxidil can help with that so I gave it a go several years ago and it did in fact work. Brow hairs started filling in, in those areas where the hairs hadn't grown in over a decade. Since this one comes as a foam, it isn't the best consistency to use for brows like the liquid is, but I can still dab a little on the brow area and it works fine. You do have to keep using it. I use it consistently for a while and then take a break and start up again. I don't experience hair loss when stopping it, as long as the breaks are limited to about 2-3 months max. Same with the hair on my head. I was thinning out around the hairline along the edged around my face basically.I had used up my other brand of minoxidil and then started this Bosley and kept up the same good results with the hair filling in. It can come in very light or white at first. It can also come in light or white and then fall out before it grows in normally. You can also experience a slight amount of hairloss when you first start it, but it will correct itself.

Works
What's important to know about these products is, if you stop using them, you'll be starting all over again depending on the type of loss you have. You should see a doctor first to figure out what is best at treating it, because this isn't going to work on all types of loss. I have two types of loss, stress and hormone. My hormone loss isn't really bad, but when I have high stress events, after a couple months you'll see it on my scalp.I use monoxidil products to help keep my hair as full as possible. After a high stress event I tend to use 4-5 times a week (my scalp cannot handle any more than this) to help prevent the eventual loss, or as much as I would normally get. When I'm just maintaining, I use 2-3 times a week, and this is mostly to combat the hormone side of things. In the interim (because my scalp wigs out otherwise) I will use rosemary oil and massage it into the spots that tend to be the biggest culprits on the loss end. There are studies with rosemary oil, do your own homework, but for me it does not replace monoxidil. I do like that the oil seems to also help soothe my scalp between treatments.I do switch out products too, this is the extra strength, which I'll use after a high stress event, but normally I use one of the numbered versions for maintenance. Again, my scalp won't tolerate daily use, but I'll do the extra strength for about a month, then move back to my regular strength (they have a chart so you can find the product best for your type of loss).I do like the Bosley brand, I have tried others to some degree of success, but this is the brand I prefer. Oh, I also use the foam for extra strength, but move to oil for regular upkeep, since I feel like I can control where it's going better and can avoid any sensitive spots that may develop. I have very sensitive skin though, so I'm surprised I can use this at all.

Good, I think
My partner tried out this hair regrowth foam for a month. I'm not sure if there was any regrowth or not. Luckily, this isn't just some mystery chemical. It is minoxidil, which is well known and proven to work well for some people. According to their instructions, and instructions on all minoxidil hair growth products, it can take some time to work, and can work differently for everyone.Foam feels more intuitive to use than liquids. It feels more like mousse or (sort of like) shampoo, without just running. You get the feel that you've applied it well to your scalp. He'll be trying this more, to see if the long term effects are worth it.
