Review: Nice poncho, well made. - I have purchased at least 6 of these for me and my family. They are very handy and light weight for hunting & fishing. Review: Great Poncho, buy it! - Read reviews and this poncho met and exceeded expectations. I needed a light but good poncho for archery hunting in the monsoons in northern arizona. This poncho is not very loud, very pliable, held up great in heavy rain with no leaks through the fabric, very light to carry for the just in case storm. What I like best is the size. I am 5'10", 170lbs, and during down poor poncho covered me with a small to med size day pack on my back, and bow at side while reaching down to ankles. Legs stayed dry. When I sat, everything including feet were covered. Bow stayed dry. The best coverage I have ever had in a poncho. Not too big either. Just right. As far as the reviews concerning only three buttons per side this is typical of any ponch and no more or less an issue with this one. If you have an issue just use sticky velcro as liberal as you want to close up the caps. I did, and worked great in wind and rain. Although the material is lightweight it is sturdy due to ripstop nylon and double coat of poly. Buy it. You won't regret it. Camo pattern also was surprisingly very good. My buddy said it blended in well. Probably going to buy another for back up as usually when i find something this good at a great price they sell out and become not available.

Good value poncho, bad stuffsack
The poncho itself has been quite useful, especially for the price. It's a nice bridge between the cheap plastic bag things and a nicer, lighter silnylon poncho. It's not going to pack as small as either being a PU coated nylon but it's small enough. It has grommets which is the main reason I bought this over a frog tog and that's been really useful so I can use it as an emergency shelter. I don't think the poncho is wide enough to use well with a poncho liner and it's really not well setup to use as a makeshift sleeping bag either. It is simple to put up for some shade or shelter from the sun or rain when that's needed and it works well as a ground sheet. I've used it mostly as a ground sheet for several weeks so that this can do multiple duties as a ground sheet, rain coverage while moving, be hung up as used as a tarp makes it a pretty versatile piece of gear. You could use it as a cover on a sleeping bag too if you already had something overhead and underneath of you but I don't think you'll be able to roll completely up in it like some of the mil-surplus ponchos. You could easily get 3/4 coverage like a quilt and that would certainly help take the edge off of the wind, like using a bivy. I haven't tried it as an underquilt yet but that could be another use for this for trips when I want to hang instead of sleep on the ground. For the current price, I've found this to be a great value and have a few now. I just throw the included stuff sack away and just skip a stuff sack altogether or I'll end up using a gallon ziplock and packing flat if I feel the need to have it in a separate bag.

Very good by almost every measure.
This is my wifeโs acct and will probably appear under her name, but when I talk about my generous proportions Iโm talking about me, not her. Kept me dry, comfortable, and ventilated in a downpour, except for my wrists and lower arms. I have long arms and I wish it was wider and covered them. But after all itโs a poncho, and I mightโve kept my arms more protected if I hadnโt had to do some manual tasks. Sturdy material, not a vinyl poncho. I was searching for the holy grail of a rubber-covered fabric poncho like my Dadโs Vietnam-era or older Army one, but that looks hopeless. This may be the next best thing and maybe a better choice overall. Iโm 5-10 or 11, stocky, big shoulders, and it went almost to my ankles. The length, or depth, is probably good for covering a backpack too, but the width might make that a problem. It air-dried fast and fit back into its pouch easily. Most outdoor products lately donโt do that, which bugs me. I would give a 4 or 4.5 except for the general review-star inflation on Amazon: I wouldnโt want to bring its average down โ Iโm trying to say itโs at least close to excellent, way better than I expected from all the reviews of all ponchos under $50. My only reservation besides my sodden wrists is that I havenโt yet worn it for an hour at a time, just a few minutes in a downpour. I bought the olive one at the same time and Iโll review that after longer use.

Absolute Must Have
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Absolute Must-Have for Outdoorsmen: Durable, Dependable, and Versatile This Arcturus poncho is a beast. It keeps me bone dry, even with a full ruck underneath. The ripstop fabric doesnโt snag or tearโeven through thick brush and briars. Works great in cold and snow too, holding heat and blocking wet. Packs small, sets up fast, and doubles as a tarp or shelter. Absolutely essential gear for hunting, fieldwork, or SHTF.

Great for bicycle touring
I have done several long bicycle tours in the U.S., Germany, Spain, Argentina, and Chile. One of the worst scenarios for the long-distance cyclist is rain and wind. While cycling across Spain, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean in November and December of 2017, and January of 2018, I encountered a lot of rain, wind, and snow; especially in the northwest of Spain. It was the same story, even in the Argentine summer in the Andes of the Lakes District in the Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi in November and December of 2018, where I even had snow during their summer! Keeping the legs dry on a bicycle in a rain / hail / snow storm is no easy task while crossing mountain passes ; but this poncho will do the job, because it is extra long and will cover the cyclist's legs as well as upper body. Other ponchos are too short, but this one is extra long and works well for my 5 foot 8 inch frame. In addition, I have found that a poncho is much better even than Gortex rain gear, such as portrayed in the photo above; because it allows for better ventilation. Although I made it to Santiago, Spain in early January of 2018, I did so in a cold, winter rain storm. My Gortex rain parka, purchased from REI, failed me at that time and I was soaked under the rain parka. This poncho will do the job better for the touring cyclist than even a combination of Gortex rain parka and specialized cycling rain chaps. It is also much lighter, a win-win situation. Also, consider, that after crossing into Chile in late December 2018 and cycling north on Ruta 5 to Santiago, as one goes farther north, the weather becomes warmer and warmer and drier. This light poncho then either comes off or is used for other purposes. Keep on making this poncho for the long distance touring cyclist -- and keep it long!

Worth the cost.
I work nights, and outdoors. This Midwest summer has seen lots of rain and the mosquitoes have been vicious. This has kept the rain off my back on the rainy nights, and the mosquitoes off on the muggy nights. I'm 282lbs and 6'5" and it is roomy and comfortable and keeps my jeans dry. I got the realtree camo because it looks menacing on me and it scares my coworkers in a funny way, but in all practicality it is an incredible match to the outdoor environment I work in. I have gotten it stuck in a sticker bush by the riverbank on accident and it held up well with no rips or tears. I love the cinch top case it comes in as you can keep it in a Kubota, backpack, or a back pocket if you think there's going to be a pop up shower.

It is nice and big
I am 5 10. This black poncho reaches my ankles. What can I say. It is nice and big. No more wet legs. Tips of your shoes might get wet if you are walking. I can sit in the rain and not be concerned about getting my legs wet. In fact it is so big, that for someone of my height, I can put it over my backpack. This poncho is seam taped. However the poncho I received had an imperfection in sealing where the two halves of the hood meets the rest of the poncho. I fixed the problem with a bit of "Gear AID" clear repair tape. The poncho has 3 push button on each side to close down the poncho.(6 in total). However under windy conditions those gaps between buttons let in too much wind (and with it water). Arcturus if you are listening, use 4 buttons or better yet 5! The product will be so much better. I am tempted to find a snap button fastener to add those missing button. When I was caught in the rain, the poncho was big enough that I folded the end over themselves with my arms to keep the water out. Hood.is pretty basic and thus mostly formless fabric. You will need a baseball hat to give it some form else in heavy rain water will get into your face. Addition of something to stiffen the top rim of the hood will go a long way. The interior side of the poncho feels rubbery. I don't like that feeling on my skin. My guess is that layer is for water proofing. It would be better if there was a liner, even a very very thin one.. something smooth. Think the liner of the Charles River Apparel Pacific Poncho. Yet, when everything is said, this poncho did keep me dry. It is big. Your legs will be dry.. You can sit down in the rain. But it could be better. There are error in the manufacture. Hood design could be better. More buttons would help close the side. A interior lining would have been great.

Great Product
Very sturdy and well made poncho. The material is durable and provides great protection from the rain and wind. It fits comfortably, holds up well in bad weather, and feels built to last. Iโm very satisfied with the quality and would definitely recommend it.

Great for rainy Weather.
I checked out all the reviews online and YouTube before I bought this brand, Waterproof, but just could not get on with it especially wearing it on a windy day and prefer a waterproof coat, I keep this in my car as a emergency Item, as it comes in a handy stuff sack, which is very small when all stowed away. Overall for the price, you cannot go wrong..
