Can I record myself reading and then mail the Character to my cousin or do I need a box to record?

You record through the account but need to link the Toonies to the account. For example, I set up an account for my son and recorded me reading stories for my grandson. Then my recordings were connected to the Toonies character on the account. I could keep recording to the account and my son could download to the Toonie if he wants. I hope this was helpful. My grandson loves his storytime with Grandma, even though I'm not there to read to him!!
