I'll Be Home for Christmas

I bought this thinking it was one story, as the Amazon description only tells of one story, the last one in the book. But it is four very complete, somewhat complex stories of two people finding one another as they work towards a common goal. And they are two people who start out as opposites, sometimes bitter enemies, but find that common goal will create a friendship, an attraction, and talk of marriage as that goal is met. Amazing what all this author can make happen in a hundred or so pages for each story.

I love this collection of Christmas tales. It is a collection of 4 short Christmas stories. Each one is better than the one before. I didn't realize this when I purchase and was pleasantly surprised by it. I love to read such stories at this time of the year, This year in particular it seemed be like I needed to read the heartwarming tales of family, love and togetherness.Christmas has always been my favorite time of year, but this year has been really hard. My children are all grown and now it seems, my mother is failing and it was time I needed go read and enjoy the Christmas joy of my childhood. These four stories helped to bring that back,I hope if you are looking for some joy and some light reading you will give these stories a try.

While others can whip up a turkey dinner or fabulous desserts, Fern Michaels can whip up a collection of delightful short stories. Don't look for deep characters and in depth plots. No twists and turns here. But you will find enjoyable short holiday romances. These stories are perfect to enjoy with a hot cup of cocoa in front of a crackling fire. Or, if your family is skiing and you'd rather stay inside, these are perfect little "feel good" stories to enjoy.Predictable? Yes, just like the turkey in the oven won't morph itself into ham by some ill-fated plot twist. But you like a simple, easy to read short story, you'll enjoy these sweet, short tales of love and romance themed around the holidays.

I loved this book. I found myself laughing out loud at times and tearing up at other times. I wish the world was more like the end of this book. Merry Christmas.

There are several stories in the book and each is a surprise to read. I recommend to anyone who want a delightful short read.

This book has four stories. One story "Comfort and Joy" I read in one of her previous books that had several stories in that book also. When I read "The Christmas Stocking" it sounded familiar . I think it might have been called "The Stocking" before. I wanted to buy "Merry Merry" and "A Bright Red Ribbon" which I had not read and for the price of "Merry Merry" only I got "A Bright Red Ribbon" story tooI enjoyed all the stories.

Heart warming story. Not to wordy.

This a book with four different short romantic stories for the holidays. " Merry, Merry," "A Bright Red Ribbon", "The Christmas Stocking", and "Comfort and Joy:. All four are easy reading and the characters are well liked. The women in each story are very independent and certainly head strong. They are very "Fern Michaels". An enjoyable holiday read.

I always am on the look out for Fern Michaels books and was delighted to be able to get this book. It arrived in good time and in great shape.
