Unlucky with this purchase
I got unlucky with this purchase of the model # 28003 of these Zanier Aviator GTX heated gloves at the end of December 2018. The right glove didn't heat as well as the left, each of the 4 double battery packs were defective (on the high heat setting each only lasts between 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 hours instead of the 4 or 5 hours the instruction manual indicates), and the amazon vendor doesn't accept returns.Fortunately, these very expensive high tech heated gloves have a 2 Year warranty and the Austrian manufacturer (Zanier) has an office here in the US that is going to address the above problems. If they get resolved I'll redo this review and give more stars.UPDATE 21 February 2019: The gloves got examined by the Zanier the manufacturer. The gloves hadn't been heating correctly and for the proper duration of time because I had put only one double battery pack in each glove instead of 2 double battery packs in each glove. 4 double battery packs came with these gloves. The above mistake is easy to make since The Zanier instruction manual for their gloves is just a general manual. It is not specific to any one of their glove models. The manual doesn't say how many double battery packs to put in each glove.UPDATE: 8 March 2019: Zanier has determined that the right hand glove isn't heating as strongly as the left hand one. They are out of the old model (28033) in my size so they will send me the new model (26028) free under warranty replacement when they come out this fall.UPDATE 19 Sept 2019: I received the new model (26028). In redesigning gloves this new model only heats for half the time of the old model. I called Zanier in Innsbruck, Austria and told them that this wouldn't be acceptable. So they sought out one of their US suppliers, found that the supplier had one last pair of the old model in my size and had it sent to me.UPDATE 10 Oct. 2019: I received a brand new pair of the old model (28033) in my size. I charged them up overnight. The next day they were working well. I sent the brand new new model (26028) back to Zanier.

Very inadequate warming - Are these really for outdoor use?
I purchased these gloves for cold weather skiing. Nicely constructed, with high quality materials, but they just don't produce enough heat. They have 3 heat levels, and the controls to activate each level seem to work, but the heat produced at even the highest level (3) is NO WHERE NEAR warm enough. I could not detect any heating whatsoever on levels 1 or 2, although the color coded controls on the gloves clearly indicated the controls were operating as designed. I had near frost bitten fingers in 20 degree F (ambient) weather, even on level 3. At lower temperatures than 20 degrees, I had to supplement the heating system with a singled heat pack insert. At zero degrees F, down to -5 degrees F (ambient), the gloves required insertion of 3 hand warming packs. I'm not sure what sport these gloves are designed for, but it clearly isn't skiing. Very disappointing product, particularly at such a high price point.

Great product! I used it all day long in a very cold ski day and the batteries did not die... I felt very comfortable and could ski with any pain in my fingers!

Gute Handschuhe
