and the lights are awesome and pretty
I keep buying these as a way to scare off the grackles near my place (I live in a downtown city and our building is surrounded). It works really well for that, and the lights are awesome and pretty, but I find that these things last a few months before dying. I don't use them for long periods of time - I'd say minutes a few times a night, but either the power source dies or the lights die. However, for the price, it's easy to replace every few months. Just know that you may have a problem depending on usage.
