2014 two CD set. Swan Records' biggest successes in their decade-long history came from Freddy Cannon, vocal duo Billy and Lillie and a little-known British group called the Beatles. Our compilation covers their first five entertaining and varied years from 1957, when they delivered a repertoire of great American Pop, Rock, R&B and Doo Wop. So take a walk in 'Palisades Park' and enjoy their late-'50s/early-'60s legacy.

They are right I Dig Them All. A small company back in the 1950's by Frank Slay continued to cut records through the 50's and 60's until they stopped in the early 60's not before getting the Beates on Swan. SHe Loves You is their lone record on the Swan label. Swan records is also famous for having the words on their records DON"T DROP OUT. which meant don't let the record drop out of the sleeve when you buy it. Of course I think that's what it meant but She Loves You is not on this bunch of songs just 1957 to 1962 and it covers a lot of groups like Billy and Lillie,Dicky Don't,Freddie Cannon,Danny & the Juniors,Tams,Qauker Street Boys and many others. Its a great cd collection as a matter of fact it is on the shelf below my computer I was jsut listening to it sunday. Also Wild Weekend by the Rock'in Rebels is on hear a 1963 hit but for some reason was recorded in 1962. I Dig Them All.

This CD is one of the many UK sets you should check out
All these cd's from the UK are a collection of mostly unknown artists that just missed being in the top 100 or sometimes worse. There are a few recognized songs but mostly obscure artists and titles but reminiscent of the time period. I have just about every top 40 hit during that era and this particular cd is also in tune with the era as far as the music patterns during that time. This cd is a welcome change of pace because I have never heard most of these songs before and it broadens your listening pleasure to include these artists. I only skipped 3 or 4 of these songs because they were really bad and the rest were ok to good. But for the money, it is well worth it.

I dig most of 'em.
Like the "Dolton Story" you'll get a lot of music for a bargain price. Lots of excellent performers-most of whom would only enjoy fleeting fame. This collection like others offered by Amazon, suffers from a lack of acceptable audio continuity. Sound quality varies from song to song. Remember, you get what you pay for.

Nice group of songs if you like early sixties music
Nice group of songs if you like early sixties music. A lot of obscure songs and groups. It does have some nice Freddy Cannon songs and one of the all time great instrumental songs of it's time, Wild Weekend by the Rockin' Rebels. Good value..

More hits than usual in this ongoing series of record label overviews
This label - One Day - has issued a lot of record company overviews the last few years and some of them are quite good while others, with B-sides instead of hits, are maddeningly incomplete. This is one of the better compilations, with 20 of the 50 tracks having made the charts. There's plenty of Freddy Cannon, their most successful act, and other things by Billy & Lilly, Mark Valentino and Danny & the Juniors. No, they didn't include the Beatles' "She Loves You."
