VENTS-US Twinfresh Comfo RA1-50-2 Ductless Single Room Energy Recovery Ventilator for Fresh Air Intake, Stale Air Exhaust, and Heating/Cooling Recapture

I don’t have enough experience with this to give 5 states will need to see how it patrons in the wintertime for conditioning the air. But in a small space it has kept CO2 below 1000 ppm. The respiration of 70 second exhaust then 70 seconds intake seems not to alter the air pressure in the room noticeably.The remote seems to be necessary to turn off the unit because just manually flipping switch or killing power with a smart outlet won’t cause the little shutters to close in order to limit unconditional air infiltration.

I was happy to find such a small compact unit until I looked closer at how the unit operates.It has an exhaust cycle which essentially temperature conditions the metal material inside the unit, then reverses the airflow direction to run the outside air through the material back inside reconditioning it’s temperature as it flows in.The problem with this is during the exhaust cycle it is creating a pressure imbalance which will draw in air from the outside from some other area if the room/house.Larger units have a separate exhaust and intake which cycle at the same time keeping a static air pressure inside the conditioned space.

I got this device installed, but the power of the fan is pretty weak and I’m not happy with its performance. I excepted a stronger supply. I interpreted the device as a an air supplier and extraction, but it is not strong enough for my needs. I’ll contact the manufacturer and see if their is anyway to increase its power. Im now stuck with it due to having a 6 inch hole in my room exterior and interior wall. My recommendation is not to buy it.

Can't really ventilate my little 800cuft mancave, in any of it's three modes, on high. Can't control CO2 of one person at rest. Can't affect humidity. Can't affect temperature (temp is about the same inside and outside in exhaust mode, and higher inside in exchange mode).Also the overall build quality of the product is very cheap. And after two weeks or so, the fan started making annoying vibration sounds at start up and stop during each cycle.

This unit effectively ventilates small spaces, like a tiny home or shed, really well.
