very poor install manual and even worse customer support
For the price this system has some nice features however the documentation and the customer support is very poor which makes the install more difficult than it should be. I would suggest buying a better system from a different manufacturer.I bought this for my 2007 Subaru Outback. I have installed many remote starters and security systems on many different cars over the years. I used to be MECP certified and worked in the car audio industry. When I received this unit I noticed that unlike many similar units I have installed in the past that there was no booklet describing the operation of the outputs/inputs. I contacted customer support before I started my install asking for something like that and received a reply stating they do not provide wiring diagrams, which was not what I was asking for, and suggested I reference the12volt.com for wiring diagrams. I replied to that email but never heard back.I started the install despite not receiving a description of operation and got the system connected and working without much issue, however there were 2 or 3 connections I got wrong and others that I didn't bother using because I was unsure of the operation. When I ran into the issues I contacted customer support describing the issue I was having and once again asked for a description of operation from them. I was much more clear this time explaining my experience level and describing exactly what I was looking for even telling them flat out I was not looking for wiring diagrams. I got the same standard response as the first time and no help with my issues.I got the system working as intended after testing the functionality with a meter/test light and rewiring a few things but if customer support had provided what I asked for none of that would have been necessary.I will NOT be buying any compustar systems in the future, instead I will pay a little more to get the Code Alarm systems I've liked on previous installs. For reference if you are not fairly proficient with wiring you should not try this install yourself regardless of how good/poor the system documentation is.

Mid range to install
Work great for 6months but had issues with the car randomly shutting off was installed properly so had to rip the system out will be going back to viper alarm but might consider something ells still looking around probably go with just a regular keysles entry instead of a remote start
