It's the grosser tasting sort with the grain alcohol base to help it absorb faster and more efficiently under the tongue than the water based types. Great product and will help you avoid or kick colds and more if taken regularly, or atleast before a cold or flu has a chance to come on. This some vitamin C, and maybe other immune boosting products with some Elderberry in them- and you should be able to walk through a plague unscathed !

I start taking this anytime I am feeling symptoms of a cold or flu coming on, it knocks it out within a day. I also start taking it when I hear others I know are getting a cold or the flu.I didn't get sick for three years, while everybody around me was getting sick.When I ran out of super echinacea for a month, during a time when the flu was going around, I did get sick. I took 3 dropper fulls every three hours when I would start to get a sore throat or signs of a cold or flu. If I didn't have any symptoms, but heard flu or colds were going around . I would take 3 dropper fulls 2 -3 times a day until I would no longer hear about the someone getting a cold or flu .To make it convenient , I would pour 8 - 12 ounces of orange juice in a water bottle , along with a total number of dropperfulls of super echinacea I wanted to take for that day. Through out the day I would sip on the orange juice, that also had my whole day supply of echinacea.Herb Pharm super echinacea is very concentrated, which also why it is so effective.

I'm not generally a big fan of alternative medicine, but this really works well. On days curcumin + ginseng doesn't do the trick, I slip some of this into my tea and it makes me very energetic. I have mild depression and its hard to get a lot of energy going, so this has been a lifesaver. It has a strong taste you have to adjust to, but I got used to it fairly quickly.However, I've read that these kind of herbal extracts (e.g. geranium extract or similar flower extracts) can be extremely bad for you if used to often. If you do try Echinacea, I feel like it's responsible to check out the medical literature on it first. Just a note!

I like the benefits

My co worker referred me to using this before I feel a cold coming on, flavor is very strong but that makes me feel like it does what it needs to do. It’s a very good natural immune supplement, recommend drinking some water right after, I would not recommend for children.

I am a firm believer in Echinacea Extract period!!! I am not knocking vitamin C as it is an essential vitamin, but this stuff wards off a cold within a blink of an eye and in my opinion, much faster than vitamin C ; that is if you begin to take it as soon as you get the first symptoms, such as a sore throat or swollen glands. There was one instance when the cold caught me when I did not have speedy access to my echinacea, and so it came on full blast. As soon as I was able to get it and start taking it, the cold symptoms began to wear off. This is a great brand, much like others I have taken, so I will go with them again. Echinacea extract is something that should be in everyone's household, and keep in my that we do not have to wait for a cold or other illnesses to grab hold of us to take this great immune builder. I only used my cold story to highlight one of the many great benefits of this extract.
