Perfect
This was a life saver for myself and my Bernese Mountain dog :). She broke her toe and had to wear a splint for 7 weeks. Unfortunately this happened in the only decade where it rains like crazy in Southern California. We never get rain but this season is record rain since don't remember. As a result I needed to find a way for the splint not to get wet. Every time it gets wet we need to change it and is not cheap.First week I tried a bag and one of my socks on top (so will not be slippery) but the metal part of the splint broke both of them in 5 min. We had to go and change the splint.Second week I bought silicon dog booties and a cast cover bag and I used both, the bootie first and the cast bag over it to cover the top part of the splint (the splint runs all to her shoulder) That worked in keeping it dry but took time to put it on and in one week the booties wore out. Then I found this over sized extreme dog boot to cover splints. This works perfect. The bottom is thick so the metal part of the splint did not wear out and it is long, so this is the only thing I needed, no other bag. Even though this boot is not cheap is less than half price to a splint change. So it was worth it. Lasted to week 7 no problem. And on top of that is breathable too, so I was able to stay with my Bernese girl outside in the rain longer time, she was able to lay in the grass in the rain as she always likes. No wet splint, no wear, no slippery.I got size large for my Bernese girl, I could have gotten medium, large was too long on top, but I folded the top a little bit and worked out.

This boot is amazing. My dog broke her front leg in the middle of winter storms. VetGood got the boot to me very fast (standard shipping)--from NJ to California! The toe is thick soft plastic, easy for her to use lightly for balance. The design is excellent, the two straps, and draw string at the top, allow for easy on and off and a secure fit. I recommend using the measurement table, and measuring your dog's cast. My dog is 85 lbs. She is an Anatolian/Great Pyrenees/German Shepard Mix. I followed the guide which indicated that she would use a medium. She is such a big girl, I thought she would surely need a large, but the medium fits perfectly. If your dog has the misfortune of needing a cast, I highly recommend this boot. You'll cut down on cast replacements.

Very good, but could easily be better
These boots looked quite good when delivered but 2 issues disclosed themselves within hours of first use. The rubber sole fell off one boot after 15 minutes of walking on smooth road surface. The second fell off on the next walk. I have no idea what kind of glue was used but it wasn't urethane sole glue, which is what I used to glue them back on. The next issue was the very thin "bungee" cord choke strap at the top broke after maybe 10 uses. The very thin bungee is nowhere near strong enough for this function. In addition, the sewn tunnel for the bungee at the top openings of the booties is barely large enough to get replacement 1/8" paracord thru. I had to bend thin copper wire (14ga.) to pass thru the sewn tube tunnel and then tape the now exposed end to the end of the paracord to pull the cord thru. Took almost 1 hr to do what should have been a 5 min job. That's the gripes, which could have easily been avoided if whoever in china made them had been told what glue to use, what cord to use, and what size cord tunnel to sew around the open top. With the negatives over with, these boots performed perfectly for the rest of the 6 wks my 70lb working dog was in a splint for a dislocated toe. During that time she was walked 3-4 times daily for 30-40 minute periods in rain and snow on paved roads and in muddy and sometimes ice covered pastures and these booties held up flawlessly with no further issues. The rubber soles still look like new and all seams have held up perfectly. The boots have remained waterproof through the very cold, wet, and snow/ice conditions during winter here in the Pacific Northwest. Were it not for the initial issues, these would easily rate 5 gold stars. One tip to relay is to remove them from your dog as soon as you return indoors or their feet will sweat and get very wet quickly. I removed these booties promptly, rinsed off mud and such in the sink and hung them upside down on a broom handle in the corner and they were always bone dry and clean when putting them back on for the next outdoor adventure.

This is AMAZING
Dog had a mass removal on hind leg (hock), and is bandaged up for 3 weeks. I just received this today and it is very well made and makes my life 1000x easier!! My only complaint is that is was difficult to figure out size to order. Would suggest bandage vs cast sizing for company to use. Circumferences promoted one size, length another. I went with the larger size, due to dog recommendation. It's too big for just a bandage (would be better for a cast). However... it still works great for what I need - a quick, easy, waterproof, foolproof way to keep his bandage clean and dry. No more plastic bags and duck tape every day!

Not suitable for cast, dirty, poor service, shipping to&return rip-off, get Canine Cast Cover instead, true staple & gamechanger
Horrible product, not comfortable but heavy , my chihuhuhua dragged it backwards. Even after messaging seller and giving exact cast measurements the size they suggested was too big. It is customary for the seller /co to take responsibility for recommending wrong size and to send out a smaller one complimentary. Or at least refund shipping. But no I had to pay the $15 shipping originally and then pay my own return shipping also.;ironically they charged $15 to ship but only cost them $8.50 usps label, so that’s a scam. Plus did i mention glue was showing all around bottom of shoe and looked dirty from wherehouse or didn’t properly clean the return. Do not buy. Canine Cast Covers was by far much better and totally diff seller reaction when i messaged Bc too big which was my error as i ordered Size up Bc was exactly 5.5”;wide but dont, get that size exactly. Canine cast cover sent me th XS for free and told me to give the small To my vet, totally different (correct);way to handle. And the canine cast cover was a lifesaver for no longer had to worry about cast getting wet and put on iv bag every time pees.

Not for every dog...
It was really strange to have to buy size Small for my 2 1/2 year old, 72 lb yellow Labrador retriever, but that is what the chart indicated so that is what I purchased and it did fit. My lab ripped one her nails off with her exuberance and we had to keep it covered because she kept re-injuring the damaged nail. I had tried every paw cover available in the local pet stores but they all failed for some reason (kept falling off, too tight, too hard to get on/off, etc) so I thought I would try this.However... this product absolutely requires a splint or a large bandage on the dog paw otherwise it will fall off. And it is very frustrating because it is so expensive.Amazon dynamic pricing jumped from $38.95 to $56.95 a few hours before I bought this. Yet another reason to hate Amazon, as if you needed another reason!
