Doesn't work on all induction "burners"
This makes a decent latte, much like you'd find in Italia.Doesn't work on the top of the line GE induction stove top, but that's a GE issue.base diameter is 3.75"

Making it work on induction stove
The tricky part was getting an induction burner to sense the pot. Due to the small diameter of the pot, induction stoves have a hard time detecting the pot and staying activated. The dead zone in the center of a burner is about the same size as the pot so the level setting just flashes and eventually turns off. Moving the pot to the side of the burner does not help. To get the pot to heat up on the burner, I use a small frying pan half filled with water with cover positioned on the side of the burner and the pot next to it. That way there the burner can sense the pan and begins heating the frying pan and moka pot. There seems to be lots of controversy over using hot water or cold to fill the pot. Some say cold water produces a smoother flavor coffee. I do not notice much difference except that hot tap water makes the coffee brewing process go faster. I also followed one reviewer's recommendation to use an aeroPress filter over the coffee grounds to prevent bits of coffee from getting into the glass pot. I pour the coffee as soon as the pot fills and have foamed milk ready to mix in. Makes a great latte. This beautiful pot is easy to use and clean. I just wish I had purchased the larger size pot as this one barely makes 2 small espresso cups.

When twisting the cup and the base, it is not very smooth, and the very harsh noise makes me feel very uncomfortable

Sensational
Found my morning coffee pot. Belongs in the MOMA. Form, function, flavor. It's stainless! It's durable glass! It puts on a show. I use it for my 8 ounce morning coffee. Suggestion - make it in a 32 ouncer. The return of HOT HOT water pushed through grounds. I love this pot!

It will overflow if you don’t watch it like a hawk
The reservoir on the bottom is larger than the one on the top, so as soon as you hear it boiling, you have to be ready to switch it off before it overflows. I have a gas stove, and it has overflown and put out the burner, leaving the gas running. Be very careful!
