Not kid friendly
It was an easy install, I would of paid a few dollars more for a safety stop of the string used for measuring , I won’t be able to allow the grandkids freedom to use game boards without on hand supervision

Excellent product and customer service
Have had two of these, and love them! The first I broke by not following directions (don’t let go of the string!) I immediately bought another because I had grown too used to it to go back to measuring! You don’t realize how convenient it is until you have it!Recently I had a problem with my second one, and reached out to the company and they fixed it immediately. Excellent customer service!

Great product, room for improvement.
Great product for accuracy in measurement every time. As some have mentioned, if you drop or let go too soon, the likelihood of breaking the end is high. I drilled a hole in the end and slid a small keyring in and attached to line. I would suggest a similar redesign in the attachment of the end piece or something else that decreases the breakage possibility. Simple fix for me, but could be frustrating for others. Overall happy after my modifications.

Broke - Spring too strong
On my first actual use, I accidentally lost grip of the nub. This spring is so incredibly strong that it snapped back and snapped the string off the nub.I know that there were instructions that said that it would happen, but this was a total accident. Looking back at it, I should have heeded the other reviews of people that have also had similar experiences.I don't think that the spring to retract the string should be nearly as strong, or there should be some sort of internal dampener that needs to be placed into the product that would prevent total product failure if the nub is accidentally released while retracted.I don't think I will be buying a replacement and just continue to use a tape measure moving forward. It was a cool idea, but just not practical until some changes are made in the design to prevent future failures.

Works and great Customer Service
I bought this to go on a new set of corn hole boards for my son. The very first time we used it, I did the very thing the instructions warned you not to do. I let the leader slip from my hand when it was nearly extended 100%. Slam and broke! Customer service was professional and responsive. My issue was resolved to my satisfaction. And the tool is awesome and so easy to use. JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!

No mistakes allowed!
Knob is very slick.. Slipped from my hand and retracted and boom. Broken. One slip up is all you get with these. Other than that it’s great and handy for setting distance. $30 and all you get is one error

It’s not worth the money
Installed this on my cornhole boardsFirst time I used it the pull knob came off in my hand and the string went back in to the recoilNow it’s unusable.
