iLIDSMason Jar Drink Lid, Wide Mouth, Black, 2-Pack

I have 8 of these lids. Everyone that I share these lids with loves them. They are harder to drink smoothies through, but they are great overall. They are also not leakproof, but for me that isn't an issue because I am using them in my car cupholder. You can actually remove the slider fully, so you can clean underneath it. That is the main reason I love these lids. I have found in the past when I pry the slider off of other coffee lids, there is mold and slime underneath, or I end up breaking the lid. A friend of mine first purchased these for me from Whole Foods. Everyone needs at least two of these!

They are practical, but the lids do smell, as others noted, certainly when you first get them. I am waiting to see if the smell goes away.UPDATE: the smell has disappeared. The enduring problem is that they are very hard to unscrew, because the white rubber on the inside is so sticky, your wrist hurts to make the lid turn. I can't imagine anyone with arthritis managing these and am surprised people don't talk about this!2d UPDATE: Finally discovered a hack to help them open more easily. I had tried vaseline and oiling the white rubber gasket, to no avail. Now I just got a plastic zipper bag and cut out a circle and placed on the rim of the jar. It is wide enough so that it folds over the sides when I screw the lid on and stays firmly in place. I left an opening where the mouth opening of the lid is. And it tightens perfect and opens like a breeze, with no effect on its leakproof qualities! Finally, my misery is over!!! After 5 years of paining to open them...

I had previously bought a different top from Cuppow that still required the metal ring for the mason jar. The ring of course rusted and discolored the plastic mouthpiece. Additionally the mouthpiece hole was not large enough to fit my reusable straw. I had to cut the hole bigger in the Cuppow. This iLIDS piece not only fits my larger straws, it also does not require me to use a rusting metal ring! I love it!

These fit my wide mouth main jars perfectly. The opening is a little small for drinking cold beverages but perfect for sipping hot ones. They wash well in the dishwasher and are holding up great.

I purchased these as I continue to move away from plastic to either metal or glass for daily water drinking. While these are plastic they fit glass wide mouth mason jars perfectly. Best choice as have both the opening to drink directly from but also allow for straw (metal straw) if so chooses. Great deal with getting two lids, purchased black. Only wish you could pick two different color lids for the order.
