GATES CORPORATION 5L290 MM 29x5/8 FHP V Belt

Misleading advertising! Nowhere on what's delivered does it say "Gates". Not on the package and not on the belt itself. The picture is blurred (why??), but the package says "Master Mechanic", not "Gates". I did a a few quick searches and "Master Mechanic" is the house brand for True Value hardware stores. I'm sure they subcontract with various manufacturers to make their products, and for belts it might be Gates. But I didn't find anything that confirmed that.The belt itself looks well made (made in Mexico). Only time will tell. But Amazon should clarify that it's a True Value belt, made by whoever.

Perfect size. An exact match for the original belt for my Troybilt Tomahawk Chipper Shredder! Local car parts stores could not match it nor could I find it at the Troybilt website! Going right to the source, Gates, was the best move!

It product was excellent, fit great. I needed a replacement for my power master h-51 and this did the job. The price was good too, only around $8. The only thing I wished they had was one day shipping.

Fit my chipper, but burned up after only a few hours. The Oregon lasts much longer.

not really the thing for a troybuilt chipper. it will fit but doesn't last very long.

This is exactly the belt I needed for an older model wood chipper. I searched a lot of regular places before I found it at amazon!

I bought it for an old Troy tomahawk Chipper, it worked great for about a couple of hours then snapped.
