Does it work for chipmunks?

My device  would not work for anything as it was not possible to adjust the tension on the plank. Don't know if mine was just a defective item or not.  My property was so inundated with chipmunks, I had to wind up paying $500 for a wildlife service to trap them. Even that service had trouble. First they used something called a "colony trap" which you can buy on Amazon. However all that did was catch squirrels. They then went to a smaller trap, similar to Amazon's Kness 101-0-002 Ketch-All Mousetrap,Silver. The wildlife company baited it with peanut butter, but the birds wound up eating the peanut butter before the chipmunks  were trapped. I next baited it with sunflower seeds and that worked like a charm. We wound up catching scads of chipmunks, though it took about 8 wks to trap them all.

Are you talking about the screw to mount the trap permanently to the bucket? You're better off not using the screw. The bracket slides onto the bucket and won't wobble or slide around. Without that screw you can easily take the trap off the bucket and put it back on. That screw has absolutely no effect on how well the trap works.
