Love this. Burns very clean if you use 90% rubbing alcohol. The flame is large but contained. Just make sure you have a clear space and clear of pets, kids, curtains (just use your brain) and I suggest using a long lighter to light. If full, it should burn a few hours.

I like using alcohol...
I like using alcohol to light it. It's a smokeless burn, lasts about 45 minutes-hour. Thing is, this thing gets VERY hot! If you're going to surround it with rocks, use sturdy ones. I replaced the dollar tree ones.

DO NOT USE INSIDE!!!
DO NOT USE INSIDE YOUR HOME ....they soot!!!! We used 90% alcohol and the soot is all over my house!! The biggest clue was in the air intakes...when we changed the air filters, they were black!!! Then found a layer of soot on furniture... extremely disappointed and upset that it's all over my house now!!.... would recommend for outside use only!!!

NO INSTRUCTIONS, no fuel, just marble, can and mat
No instructions, no fuel, no idea how much to use, which fuel to buy, how to put it out. Other than that, the marble is GORGEOUS, and high quality. Mat is thick and sturdy. So, I went ahead and bought the suggested bottles for fuel, and to test it out, poured about 2 ounces in. Just a tiiiiiiny bit, to start. Flame was fairly large, so ****BE CAREFUL*** when adding fuel/alcohol bc I can only imagine if you pour too much, it would light your face on fire. It burned for 5-7 minutes, and went out on it's own - again, no top to put it out, so you gotta watch it the whole time. It burned the top of the marble, which won't wipe off. Not a fan, I'll be returning. Wish they'd refund for the alcohol too, since I won't be needing it anymore.

Nice alternative to candle
Was wishing it would fit a disposable restaurant style sterno. refillable can is more narrow
