Fun Express - Growing Insects (4dz) - Toys - Character Toys - Misc Character Toys - 48 Pieces

Bought this for my son's birthday party for gifts. You receive a plastic bag with little insects, all separately wrapped. Unfortunately there are no instructions anywhere to be found. Placed one in water- nothing happened for a while so we thought it needed to be hot water. That caused the insect to swell just slightly but begin flaking apart in pieces until it disintegrated. We're trying again and will leave it overnight. It may be an ok toy but I don't rate it very high because it should have directions. When giving as gifts, I think parents would appreciate knowing how to make it work and not create a toxic dismembered goo in a glass.

Soak them overnight in cold water and they do get big. Just rice water later be is a bit murky. My daughter loved it. The only thing is they didn't come individually wrapped like I thought. They were all thrown into a cheap plastic wrap like bag. And all insects!! Variety was not good. But they did the job. I put 8 bugs into a ziplock bag for each child at my daughters party. I put a note on the bag that gave more direction by these didn't have any!! I think they were a hit. Despite poor packaging and no good variety

I bought these for my classroom treasure box. I tried one out before giving to the kids. It took about 12 hours for the item to expand and even then it only about doubled in size. I showed the kids the before and after without giving an opinon to see what they thought. They loved them. They quickly disappeared from the treasure box. The kids would have given them 5 stars but I was dissapointed with the result.

The assortment was nice and the colors were vivid but there were no instructions. We tried hot water and then cold water, wasn't sure on beaker size so they were a little disappointing for the party as they never got as large as in the picture even after three hours. Maybe it was something we did but without instructions, who's to say?

Really cool and fun but they take too long to get large. You have to leave them overnight, they're kind of smelly too. After you take them out of the water they're super slimy and will shrink within a couple of hours. There aren't any instructions either so if you give them as favors in goodie bags the children will never know to make them big.

You will get the best results if you let them sit in water for a couple days. But as soon as they are removed, they begin to shrink. They are down to original size within half a day. Still fun for kids, they like watching them grow. They grow to be about fist size

I purchased these to give as favors at a playgroup playdate- the kids loved that they could grow bugs! At first glance I noticed that some of the bugs came brittle and broken- the ones I was able to salvage and pass out did not barely grow after many hours of sitting in water. Very cheap price so I am not sure why I was excpecting great results but the kids loved the bright colors and shapes- I just wish they would have worked.

The lack of instructions makes these a bit of a bummer. We were expecting them to grow quickly, not over the course of a day or so, but still had fun with them. I printed up some quick instructions to include with our goodie bags, so the other kids would know what to expect.
