Like others I feel the safe is well built, fingerprint works, key code works and was fairly easy to set up. I didn't give it five stars only due to the fact that the phone app does not work for me nor does customer service respond when asking for a fix. You need a code to finalize the app set up and it is nowhere to be found nor have I received a response when I asked where I could find it. Also now I get a warning not to access their web site as their security certificate has expired. I do feel that other than the app not working the safe is excellent. I'll just delete the app from my phone. EDIT: After one week the company responded to my question of how to get the app to work. They provided outstanding instructions for setting up the app! It works! I upgraded my rating to five stars.

First review on Amazon, truth. Love this gun safe. Ordered another one for the garage. I spend tons of time reading and researching before I buy. This is the one you want, bio finger print works every single time on all fingers!

The media could not be loaded. This safe is large enough for two handguns and all of your critical documents. It is easy to program but the fingerprint sensor will only work for about 6 months before requiring a refresh. You can train it to read from multiple angles for quick access.I only wish the interior was a little bigger and padded on all sides. If you have 8.5x11 documents, they will need to be folded. If you plan to travel with anything delicate, they will need to be wrapped to avoid scratching against the walls.Keep in mind the keys provided to open the safe will need to be put away in a safe place to comply with guns safety laws for minors. The AA batteries have lasted 2.5 years thus far with about twice a month access.

I like everything about this safe. It is really well made and works perfectly. Holds two pistols and still has space for accessories. It bolted down securely to a built in cabinet and it would take a lot of time and power tools to remove it. The three methods for access: code, fingerprint and keys all work effortlessly. Nice interior, too. I made the right decision when I purchased this unit.

It's really well made for a basic safe. Of course it can be pick-locked easily (you can find videos on YT), but if you just want to prevent small kids to have access to your gun, this will do it.BUT....The ONLY reason I chose this model is that it's supposed to have some "smart" features. For instance, it connects to your WiFi network, and one of the features is to send a notification to your phone if the safe gets opened. Does it work? Kinda.... if the safe stays connected to your network, it works. You will receive notifications pretty much instantly if the safe is opened. (and I really wanted this feature so I can make sure that if someone ends up opening the safe, I'll be notified). The problem is that the safe keeps losing connection with the Wifi network and when that happens, no more notifications until you reconnect it. And there's no easy way to know if the safe is still connected or not. You basically need to open it and see if you get the notification. If you don't get it, then you need to reconnect. This is really a bummer. So it's not really reliable if you really want to have this feature (like I did). What I ended up doing is: I have Philips Hue ecosystem in my home, and I had a motion sensor that I was not using. I put the motion sensor inside the safe and set up a routine on Alexa to send me a notification whenever the sensor detects a movement, and also to make all Alexa devices to say something (like "SAFE HAS BEEN OPENED"). So basically, if someone opens the safe, the motion sensor will detect the movement, I'll get the notification on my phone, and whoever is in the house next to an Alexa device will hear Alexa saying that.So that's my tip if you want to be notified if someone opened your gun safe.

I have had the opportunity to test and review a few similar products but until,this one I was disappointed with the performance of them. However the performance of this gun safe has thoroughly impressed me.Biometric technology has improved in amazing ways over the last couple of years making it capable of being far more reliable than ever before - while this is true it is often not the case based on the quality of individual products.This product has proven to be both well designed and made of high quality components. While the instructions are not the most clearly written I was able to decipher them and found programming trouble free. As with all biometric devices there are a few practices that will greatly improve long term success.1. Prior to recording fingerprints wipe the biometric reader with an alcohol pad to remove any dust or residue that could interfere with a clear recording of your fingerprint.2. Wash your hands throughly, and repeat - I use a small brush as I do this. The key to this is you want to record your fingerprints with absolutely nothing else.3. Finally, record multiple fingerprints - I always record my thumb, pointer and middle fingers whenever possible.I have found many similar products are either too small or too big - this gun safe is the right size. That being said, the listing indicating it will hold 4 handguns is an exaggeration. You should expect it to hold 2 standard size handguns (such as Glock) though you probably could fit 4 sub compact (LCP II). I have never seen this type of case as something to store large quantities of firearms but instead to use as safe, yet quick access to the firearm(s) most adept at using.The key to any of these safes is they will open when you need them to - without hassle. This safe has proven to do just that. When testing these safes I find it important to load good batteries and set them up then open them a couple times a week over several months. In my testing I’ve had zero issues with the biometric reader recognizing my print and unlocking. I do test with my hands having differing amounts of grime on them to see what the reader can detect my prints through and this one is better than most.This safe uses battery very well. Many of these devices drain batteries unreasonably fast - that is not the case with this product. I have tested many batteries in these types of devices and have found the Energizer e2 batteries work the best. Out of principle I replace the batteries every 6 months regardless. Even if they did go dead there is an external charging port and keys if necessary.This is an excellent product that I highly recommend.
