Awesome kettle, even better service!
I ordered this item because it was the kettle I was looking for to make coffee (pour overs, French press) and it was at a good price. The copper one looked cool in the picture, so that's the version I chose. When it arrived, I was impressed with the kettle as well as the packaging. It looks so great! Certainly it appears like I spent much more money on it. And it works really well. It warms water quickly and the thermometer is built-in, easy to read, and accurate. Great item. The company reached out to me and asked me if I was pleased, and I responded with a yes - except - the face of the thermometer was a bit scuffed up from shipping (it wasn't protected with a plastic film). I could still read the temperature, but it's the only constructive criticism I had for them. They apologized and immediately sent a replacement, even though I didn't ask for one. So, this company not only produces an excellent product for coffee lovers, but they are driven to serve customers with excellence. I'm very happy I made this purchase and expect to use my kettle(s) for a long time. :)

Nice kettle for a good price
Pretty nice, small gooseneck kettle. This thing has a bit of heft to it and it feels nice and balanced when pouring. It is pretty well built and it seems like it should hold up for a while. It does the job for which it is designed. The built-in thermometer is really nice to have as you don't have to find one that will fit through the holes and get steam over it like other kettles. It can get loose as it is attached with a nut on the inside. This is fine as you can just tighten it when it loosens up. This is also nice as you can remove it later if you feel the need to. Follow the instructions and don't fill it to the top, like any other kettle. If you need more water, get a larger kettle. I max it out at the top ridge and it does fine. It does not have graduation marks so just use the ridges as markers and after a few coffees you will figure out how much to add each time. Just keep an eye on it and don't let it over boil; this is not a whistle-type tea kettle. The handle is a hard plastic that feels nice in the hand. There are no annoying ridges from the molding process so it does the job nicely. You do need to worry about burning your hand if you take the top off when it is hot, so just use a towel or something if you need to do that. The handle is nice and the kettle is balanced so you shouldn't feel the need to use another hand to hold the top as you are pouring. It pours nice and smoothly as one would expect with this sort of kettle, no issues there. With kettles of this type, it come out slow so you don't need to worry about water "clugging" out over your coffee like traditional kettles. For clean up, I just pour out the extra water and have the lid on top but open as to let it dry. I leave it on the warm burner to make sure it dries out. It shouldn't rust but there is no reason to leave water in the kettle; just take care of your stuff. Over all, a nice gooseneck kettle for the price. I use it for my pour over brewer so the size is just right and has enough capacity to make a few cups of coffee.

Fit perfectly into my setup for work
I've used this to boil water for my pour coffee system. It works great, the thermometer is on point and it is a lot easier to control pouring the water out at near boiling temps. It's got a good look, has lasted for nearly 2 years with no sign of slowing. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Good for small batch coffee
4/5 stars -- the plastic wrapped handle protects hands from heat; the gooseneck spout enable steady flow even at a low rate for best pour-over coffee brewing; the air-tight lid has a good tight fit. 1 star removed because the only handle for the air-tight lid is also the thermometer, and it does get pretty hot especially after brewing multiple kettles worth of water to make several cups of coffee or tea. (For example, I brew pour-over coffee in bulk into 1-quart mason jars, and then decant cups of coffee on demand with my handy mason jar spout/lid. The recommended limit for the kettle is 1L, which is barely enough to extract a full quart of brewed coffee.) However, if you are only making a cup or two of your hot beverage, then the kettle will hold more than enough water to suffice for the brewing, and you can let it cool down before removing the lid.

I'm really pleased with this purchase. I followed the manufacturers instructions prior to use and there is absolutely no hint of the "newness" smell some reviews have mentioned. The kettle heats up really quick and is perfectly designed for a slow even pour. I have no hesitation in recommending.

Originally bought a coffee dripper and at first was struggling to pour water over the coffee with any control or consistency using a conventional electric kettle (UK). I almost baulked at the price of these things, however after reading lots of reviews and recommendations I decided to take the plunge and wow, what a difference it's making to my dripper coffees! The pour is slow and gradual making it much easier to get all your grounds wet and the balance of the kettle makes the accuracy of your pour easier too. The thermometer is also great as it lets you get the perfect temperature which is also vital when making coffee. I've read a few complaints that it doesn't whistle, but for pour over coffee you don't actually want the water boiling, so this wouldn't be a good feature. People also complaining that when they do boil water in it, it comes out the spout. The instructions explicitly say a maximum volume to put in the kettle to stop this happening, so people are clearly over filling it. If you use enough water for 2 coffees (as much as a dripper would hold anyway) this comes nowhere near enough to have water bubbling out the spout. It sounds to me people making these complaints are trying to use it like a conventional kettle which it is not! Anyway, despite the price, this is a great bit of kit for making pour over coffees and I wouldn't go back to not having one. A must for any coffee brewing enthusiasts!

Order took a few weeks to arrive which is understandable. When I opened the box, I saw that the top of the thermometer had be scuffed and the dial could not be seen clearly.
