No better knife for the price!
First off, besides this knife, I own an LT Wright Outback with sabre grind, Bark River Aurora, Lionsteel M5, Fallkiniven F1 and Mora Garberg. Although the K720 steel isn’t as good as CPM3V, it’s still really good. Aside from that, there is no other knife that I own that I listed above that’s as good as this casstrom. It’s literally perfect for everything a normal outdoorsman would need. I think the only thing you’d need to decide for yourself if can you live with a leather sheath and is a scandi grind okay. I prefer those features, but you may not. The knife comes sharp as can be, perfect fit and finish, spine is almost as sharp as the LT Wright and ergonomics are great for just about all hand sizes. I’m a large to extra large hand size and it’s perfect with Mechanics gloves. Buy with confidence. I’ve considered selling my other high end knives because they don’t really do anything much better and the prices are way higher in most cases.

Solid
Nice girthy handle, very crisp spine, and could use a little higher quality steel. Not the sharpest blade but i'm not an experienced user. If you're very good at sharpening then this knife will suit you well.

Excellent knife for the price
I bought this as a gift for my dad and let me tell you I’m blown away by how comfortable the handle is.Some of the handles on my more expensive knives barely compare. As for durability, my dad uses it daily at work (roofing foreman) and so far it’s holding strong.A few swipes on a pass through sharpener and a wipe with CLP has kept it rust free and sharp. This is a working man’s knife.

Blade material is too soft
The appearance and feel of this unit are excellent and I immediately liked it. From the factory, though, the cutting edge was folded to the side. I corrected that and the knife was easily sharpened. I've always said that a knife that sharpens easily will dull easily. This unit supports that axiom. Practically everything that I use it for folds the cutting edge to the side. The cutting ability is then diminished. I would expect this performance out of a $25 knife but not from a $125 one. I'm returning the knife.

Well made bushcraft knife
The Casstrom No 10 is a longtime bushcraft favorite. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable the micarta handle is. It is thicker than most handles and fits your hand very comfortably. The micarta used is satisfyingly grippy. The blade size and shape is classic with the scandi grind and blade thickness. Arrived extremely sharp out of the box. Overall construction, fit, and finish are exemplary. Comes with a solidly constructed thick leather sheath. Little bad to say about the knife, and I'm picky. Unfortunately, the Amazon listing detailed K720 blade steel but the product delivered was in Sleipner blade steel. I much prefer the metallurgical attributes of K720 and although no longer produced by Casstrom there is some new/old stock out there if you search. I notified the retailer of the misinformation on their listing and returned the knife right away. Within an hour of searching online, I had found six other online retailers selling the old stock K720 and purchased from one of these retailers instead. Crow.ee has some awesome information comparing K720 vs. 14c28n - two of the blade steels this knife is available in. Sleiper info can be found on Knifeuser.com and Knifeguides.com . Enjoy the journey!

Better than custom
Man I wish I had found out about this knife a few years sooner, would have saved a lot of money. It's better quality fit and finish than any bark river or lt Wright knife I've ever owned and has a true scandi grind with no micro bevel and I didn't even know k720 or 02 steel if you will even existed but at this hrc and with no tungsten this thing is going to be a breeze to sharpen. Can't get a better knife at this price in my opinion at $124 and even if it went up to$175 I would still say it's a good deal.

overpriced for the quality
This knife is a $100 knife at best. Needs chimping and a choil.

THE knife for me
The best knife I ever had. I have “better steel” knives and pricier knives like the bark river aurora. I liked that knife but for me the no. 10 fits the best in my hand and it’s a tank of a knife. And for the first time I found myself not wanting to buy another knife. I think I found THE knife.
