How many is in our ones place 3 Let’s look at the tens, 1 and 1 we have 2 for the tens place Or 22 plus 18 Let’s put 2 in and then 8. Uh oh we made a 10 we need to save one bead to put into our tens place now. Put in 2 for “20” and 1 for “10” and then our 1 from the ten we made for the ones place. Hope this helps :)
