Blue BuffaloBasics Limited Ingredient Diet, Natural Senior Dog Food Bundle, Dry Dog Food and Wet Dog Food, Turkey (24-lb Dry Food + 12.5oz cans 12ct)

My Yorkie who is 15 months old was having issues with his eyes. Vet visit one: pink eye: gave meds never really got better. Vet visit 2: he was bite by a bug: meds don't help. So I wasn't about to waste any more money so I researched my tail off and found out that the dog food we gave him and our other Yorkie which was Royal Canine had some bad stuff in it. Royal Canine was recommended by our Breeder, and the Vet, oh and the Vet sells the crap in the office. Well from learning that anything with chicken MEAL, or turkey MEAL, is just basically saying there may not be any meat in the food but possibly bones, hair, and more disgusting things I found out. Then they add extra "stuff" to the food to make the dog believe they are eating a lot and they are but most has no nutritional value at all and that 20% of dogs are allergic to these additives. This made me feel like a fool because I trusted the Breeder and vet and never looked into the dog food because I felt I can trust them. After learning a lot of bad things about dog food I reasearched and the best brand by far is Blue Buffalo. Since switching to Blue Buffalo our Yorkies allergies are now not an issue. The food was the problem, not pink eye, not a bug bite and now almost $800 poorer I found the issue for my dog and I'm not a vet and when they said bug bite I was like oh man okay but didn't sit well with me. No more games with other people's lack of care. I'm grooming both Yorkies now. Haircuts, nails trims, and just staying on top of information so I don't pay to have my dogs lives in jeopardy and I am the one calling the shots and if I ever really need help I will but this was an eye opener. Blue Buffalo saved my dogs life because this was becoming a problem that was getting worse by the day over Royal Canines lack of quality and care for the ones they are supposed to be feeding healthy food they are a business bottom line looking to make extra money any way possible as that has been made clear by my horrible experience!

My dog eats Blue Buffalo since I brought her home. I have noticed over the last year she has become very itchy. I decided to change her diet to Blue Buffalo Basics to see if it was a food allergy that she has developed. Sure enough I switched her to Basics and the itching/scratching stopped overnight! I spoke with Vets (3) and they said a lot of their patients seem to have the same problem with Blue. Her coat is so beautiful. Everyone stops us because of the shine and silkiness of her coat so obviously it is working. Also, I only give her dry food with occasional bits of chicken because her breeds. She is a hybrid. She is a Yorkie and a S***zu. Her coat is blond now that she is older. The Vet said these breeds suffer from a lot of dental problems but my dog has perfect teeth and absolutely no tartar build up. This is why I am also sticking with Blue Buffalo as long as she doesn't develop a food allergy to this one as well.

My little old man seems to love the taste...I see a lot of similarities with the adult & senior bags. The difference between the two is unclear.

We had been looking for a dog food that would be ok for our dogs sensitive stomachs , I did lots of research, from day one my dogs loved it, no side effects. Definitely recommend for older dogs.

I am a long time fan purchaser of Blue Buffalo products. My dogs have enjoyed Salmon and Chicken dog food plus a variety of treats specifically the turkey jerky, so I was shocked at the VIOLENT reaction Bella had to the Basics Skin and Sensitive Stomach kibble.I purchased the Basics Skin and Stomach dogfood because Bella was getting older and displaying signs of a sensitive stomach (eating grass more frequently but never throwing up)After starting her on the Basics dog food, she started eating grass more than usual and throwing up. This continued for 3 days until I stopped. When I threw out the remaining Basics dog food, I was SHOCKED by how SPICY the dog food smelled. How does a sensitive stomach dog food smell so spicy?Since returning her to the senior chicken kibble, she has become weary of eating it. I don’t know what damage it did as she is under going some tests.But please be warned before trying this product. Smell it before giving it to your fur baby. I hope it was just a bad batch that did not impact a lot of dogs.

My dogs like it mixed with just a little bit of the same in wet. There poops are healthy and no upset tummy.

My Mini Schnauzer was a rescue 9 1/2 years ago. For the first 2 years I had her she was on an expensive organic food because of a chicken allergy. She stopped eating that food so I found Blue Basic and she has been on it ever since. I finally switched her to senior food about a year ago. There wasn't an issue going from the adult version to the senior version. She loves it.

Since he have been eating this he have gain alot of yeast.
