Amazing product
Given the price, I fully expected this thing to be in the trash. This surpassed my expectations. I was actually looking for something a little more expensive to ensure a better product. I gotta say for $15, is completely worth it. I use this for my media center PC. This is so much easier to use than a track pad on a similar product. The "air remote" feature works very well. Very easy to control the mouse with it after some tweaking of the mouse sensitivity in Windows. All the small things make this remote worth it. Such as disabling the buttons on the side that are face down so you don't accidentally press something when trying to use one side of it. The lights will shut off on the side that is face down and will light up the side that is face up. The simple function to disable the mouse cursor on the remote is a feature I didn't expect to come in handy. The majority of the buttons are already programmed so I can shut my PC down using the power button instead of Start > Power > Shutdown. The few nitpicks I have are not enough to warrant taking away stars. The alt function buttons are damn near impossible to see in the dark, which is important since the keyboard side does not have a dedicated number row. I feel like they could have expanded the keyboard out further to either have a num pad or common special characters such as @.5 of 5 just because the price point is awesome. If this was any more expensive then I would have given it less stars due to small overlooked details previously mentioned. It has high end features for a low end price point.

Very nice remote for all your computer and DIY that require remote control.
Very well built solid device with 4 user programmable keys. Keys are color coded and back lit which makes use in a darkened environment much easier. The back light turns on when any key is pressed and turns off by itself a frew seconds after the last key is pressed. The WiFi interface is much better than other Bluetooth devices in my opinion. Battery life seems to be the same as any other remote control I have used in the past. I really like the standard multimedia style key layout on the top side with the ability to use a full QWERTY keyboard on the back side. It makes use for varied computer projects extremely convenient. All keys work well with only an occasional bounce(multiple key output for one press). All in all, I can easily recommend this device particularly when taking into account the very affordable price point.

Great, but flawed device
Great device with lots of features, but missing some vital keyboard keys.I was really hoping to be able to use this device to replace both a mouse and keyboard for the small form factor PC that is the central media device in my living room.Mouse capability: Though certainly usable, this feature is significantly more difficult to use than my wireless mouse, being both too sensitive and not sensitive enough in important ways. While in mouse mode, an internal sensor tracks how I trust, rotate, angle, and move the remote to mimic typical x and y movement, but it is too jittery for the fine control needed to click small screen elements in my 4k TV. So I have had to keep my wireless mouse and a fabric most part on my coffee table along with this remote.Keyboard capability: I have had pretty good success with the nearly-full keyboard on the back of the remote and frequently use the backlit feature to see the keys in the dark. Unfortunately, half of the keyboard is unusable in the dark because a Fn key needs to be pressed to enable numbers, special characters, and others non- alphabet keys, none of which are lit by the backlight and all of which are printed in dark colors on the black buttons, so I have to have a good light source available. Also, the keyboard stays in a kind of sleep mode until one or more buttons are pressed several times, with a noticable delay between each press, which is also required to turn on the backlight feature. In addition, it does not have any way of sending and of the Windows, Ctrl, Alt, F# (function), Caps Lock, Tab, and other keys that I frequently use in a standard keyboard so I'll have to keep a full-sized wireless keyboard nearby.Remote capability: The primary remote capabilities have barely been used so far because the instructions do not provide the steps needed to program it to take the place of my other remotes. So it mostly lays face down, acting as a smaller wireless keyboard in my living room, though I'd really like to be able to replace my other three remotes if possible. I still need to do some searching on the web to see if I can find the instructions somewhere, but I keep forgetting. ;-)Overall I consider this to be a three-star device with the potential to be more, if I find the info I need. I've rated it at four stars for this review so to its low price and Favormate's requests for feedback and other communications. If I'm able to find the info I need, I'll update this review accordingly.

Great HTPC accessory
I already owned a variant of this remote that was almost the same except it doesn't have backlighting. This remote is a little heavier because I think it has an accelerometer to switch the backlighting on and off depending on which side of the remote you are using. If you just want a wireless mouse and occasionally need to use a keyboard for searching or passwords, this is a great all in one device. The battery life on the old remote is great, similar to a typical TV remote. I expect this one to be worse if you leave backlighting on full time. The only thing I wish this remote had was an indicator that tells you if the CAPS and ALT keys are engaged. A couple extra LEDs under those keys would be awesome. As it is, it is impossible to tell what you are typing especially if you are inputting a password. Another thing that it doesn't do for some reason is wake the PC up from sleep. It is seen as a keyboard and mouse by the PC but I guess the dongle isn't powered when it is sleeping. It also doesn't turn the PC on or off with the power button. I haven't programmed it to control TV power either and probably won't. For a simple and convenient keyboard and mouse, it works well.
