Safe Alernative
For better stability (and a bit of added height) I added two, 24" 2 x 4's to the base (Bolt holes provided). Made it much more stable. Otherwise, very satisfied with its durability and integrity that I hope to use for many years.

Works as promised
I bought this for my husband to make kindling. It’s very easy to use and much safer than trying to hold the log by hand. Very happy with my purchase.

Simple and effective
I'm splitting oak and cherry with relative ease. You really do need to stabilize it using the four holes in the base. I lag screwed it to a wide stump otherwise it would jump and travel.

Safely chop kindling..... Use a heavy 8lb mallet recommended

Il ne faut pas mettre de trop longue buche.
Tombe facilement s'il n'est pas fixé au sol. Les bûches ne doivent pas être trop longues
