Braun Electric Razor for Men, Series 9 9293s Electric Shaver with Precision Trimmer, Rechargeable, Wet & Dry Foil Shaver and Travel Case

I have been a traditional and rotary shaver since day one. I tried a cheap foil shaver once and it nicked my neck many times and pulled all over my face. After reading countless reviews, I took the plunge with this expensive foil shaver. I also decided to go with the new series (gold blades) instead of the old 9 series (blue blades). I didnt want an older version to skew my idea of this shaver. I also didnt buy the cleaning station because I take great care of my electronic shavers.So arrived and packaing was a nice presentation and overall very luxurious unboxing. Not that a box will affect performance, but nice to see the extra little touches that come with a premium like this.I tried the shaver on face first. Off the bat I was not pleased. It required me to do multiple passes and it seemed like it was tugging on my hairs. Not pulling but just small pinches. I tried on the neck and that was a disaster. Marks and pulls and major razor rash. I figured since my skin is very sensitive to electric shavers on neck area. Thats why I use rotary for face and traditional hand held for neck. I was very dissapointed that within the first minutes, I felt scammed. I read some reviews and attempted another attempt in a day or 2.This time I tired with having my face and neck soaked with water. The shaver did help with less tugging and pulling and smoother, but not with razor rash or multiple passes. After more reviews and a couple more shaves I found the secret to this shaver. First of, it takes your body itself to adust to the different angle of blades coming at your face. I read that many people have my problems if they have been using a style for so long and then decide to change. Second of all, shaving cream, water, and gels do help with overall shave but this is a wet and DRY shaver, kinda the point that no other lubricant is needed. Thirdly and most important, the pressure for a foil shaver is completly different than rotary or hand held. The was the secret for me. Before I was pressing very hard to my skin and needed multiple passes. I found out that with a foil cutter, all you need is just enough to skim across your face. Once you retrain your hand to that level of pressure needed...THIS SHAVER IS A GODSEND!!!!! It is very smooth and never tugs or pulls for me ever again. I dont remember the last time I had razor rash since I have trained my hand to the correct pressure. Daily shaving takes a few minutes because you just glide over your face and it usally takes 90% of one pass. Once you gain the correct speed, pressure, and angle, mulitple passes are rare.The trimmer on this shaver is in a bad position, but it does work well and great for skulpting fine details. The stand it comes with is nice and holds the shaver upright. It's also nice that the stand is a charging block instead of just a pointless stand. The carrying case is a nice touch, but it definetly doesnt have room for the charger or stand. The shaver is all chrome and people have complained about that because of fingerprints, well it's a shaver not a Ferrari, you are not about to brag about it so I can care less about fingerprints. The shaver does have an angle locking button but I have not found a use for it since your face has curves and the head adapts to your face with springs.If you dont want to read all of this review. This is a great shaver but dont give up hope on it untill you have found the perfect hand pressure for it. Once found, your shave will be great, quick, razor rash free, and very sharp.

Best machine in the market for personal use but also for industrial purposes. I’m a full time Barber and I use this machine many times. This is actually my second generation I had before the 7 series now I have this amazing 9 series that make every haircut and every shave real easy. Not hard on the skin at all, easy to use, easy to clean, also it makes the job at lot faster and easier. It happens that more and more customers end up getting this machine after I use it on them. I love this product not matter the price. Trust me when I tell you “Best machine in the market”. I been using this type of machines (talking about shavers in general) for a amount of 20 years and this is the best one I ever seen. The only problem they normally have is that after 2 years of use the power button falls down. It happen to the 7 series also to a 6 series my friend has but also to another 7 series another co worker has. It hasn't happened yet to my 9 series and I’m Down to 4 month of use. I think this is the only negative of this machine but anything else: durability, life span, efficiency, power, smoothness, elegance, charge I think is 100% . I highly recommend this product to everyone who is looking to have a great product with great results.

It works well at home. I do not know about travel. It almost shaves as well as my old electric plug-in. I did not know how to answer travel. I gave it a 5 star, since I do no want to damage the rating of the product.l So many of the ratings are non-sensical and there is no way of indicating, "I do not know." AMAZON?

Original rating: 2 starsPurchased January 2018; the travel lock developed a mind of its own in late December 2019 (while traveling overseas!) not allowing me to operate it. An international call to Braun's US customer service led to them sending me a paid, self-addressed envelope to send the unit in, which I did upon returning to the country. I am now within the 8-week window for them to inspect the unit. After more than 30 years of daily e-shaver use, I have now for the first time switched to wet shaving with a DE razor - I'll wait and see what Braun has to say about the broken unit, but chances are wet shaving stays with me. My facial skin is much healthier now, no ingrown hairs or razor burn of any kind. While it worked, the Braun 9293s was fine for an e-shaver, but wet shaving feels like the real deal even though it takes more time and attention during the actual shave.UPDATE: FEB 2020 ... To their credit, Braun has sent me a brand new unit at zero cost to me. Increasing my rating to 4 stars.

The Braun Series 9 9293s gives you a Braun Series 9 Rolls Royce shaver for the lowest price. That is because there is no clean and charge station. This is a great plus because you don’t get hooked into buying the expensive cleaning cartridges. Another benefit is much smaller footprint of the 9293s base allowing the shaver to stand while charging. See the photo. While there is no clean and charge station cleaning is a snap. You can clean it dry by removing the shaver head, tapping out the stubble and gently brushing. Or run the shaver head under hot water while running for a few moments. After cleaning a shaver spray or drop of light oil keeps the shaver in top shape.Beyond the lower cost of the 9293s it feels great in hand. The large shaving head makes for speedy smooth shaves that equal my now discarded Harry’s razor. The shaver looks great, shaves great and cleans great. What’s not to like?

I happen to be one of the fortunate reviewers to have gotten my hands on a good QC unit. So I'll give you an honest review since "I Believe," that those who've had a negative experience with this shaver, probably got a defective unit. So here it goes.I noticed a few things that make this an exceptional item.1: Shaves very close2: It's very fast.3: 0 burn4: Contours to your face.5: Low maintenanceNow let me clarify. I shave daily so the longest my beard has ever been is just sum fuzz, but when I compare this to other brands cheap/expensive this gives me the closest, I would say about a razors worth. In terms of speed it's what I would call a "One Pass." Though you won't get a close shave with just a swipe, it is far quicker than shavers under $100, & it won't burn your face off either. The flex head is fantastic & I honestly don't know how I could live without one now. Maintenance wise it's super easy just prop the head off rince under a tap drop some oil on it once a week & blow the other part out with an portable compressor, no need for a brush.By the way IF you look AFTER your shaver it will do good by you. In other words trim your beard 1st before using this. I never realized how dirt can affect the experience one has with shaving, so make sure you clean it after every use, & oil it every week. $200 was a steal.

Por muchas décadas he usado las rasuradoras Braun con excelentes resultados y he constatado su evolución técnica. Esta última versión, SERIE 9 es sencillamente increíble, la velocidad de oscilación hace que el rasurado sea mucho más rápidp y acorta el tiempo de rasurado, y con la ventaja que no tiene que estar la barba seca. No deja ningún pelo a su paso sea cual sea su largo. La recomiendo mucho pues vale lo que cuesta. Gracias Amazon por tener productos de alta calidad.

There's no doubt that Series 9 is based on customers needs and their feedback. The pivoting head and floating grills, wet and dry shaving capabilities, and the head/power lock features give you a smooth and comfortable shave. Battery life is great and it charges pretty fast. The look and the material of this shaver emphasizes on its premium design, however, the shiny chrome surface attracts fingerprints. It's fast and reliable and the results are satisfying. No ingrown hair and no razor burn, redness or irritation on my sensitive skin.

Razors are a personal thing.I've had a Panasonic Arc3 for 5 or 6 years now. It's a great razor. However, I spend my time between two homes and I found that carrying it around was problematic --especially when I'd leave it behind!I shopped long and hard ... my criteria was simple ... as good as the Panasonic and inexpensive (relatively speaking.I found this Braun for the same price as the Panasonic and decided to go for it.It's become my #1 razor in terms of preference --the Panasonic has been relegated to weekend duty. The Braun is more powerful, has a longer battery life and shaves closer. As a plus, the cartridge life is longer on the Braun than on the Panasonic.However, it's not perfect. There are two things that it doesn't do well: I have a heavy beard and soft white neck hairs. The Braun is not able to get these hair ... I have to flip the trimmer head to get them. While the Panasonic doesn't get them perfectly ... it does a better job ... and it's trimmer is far superior.Second reason is the gap between the tip the head and the blade ... the gap is large enough to prevent the blade from shaving a few millimetres next to my hear.So all things aside ... It's a great razor ... shop wisely!
