I own all of the Rurouni Kenshin manga in single-volume format, but never got around to purchasing the first 3, so this hit the spot. Comparing this release to the other volumes by VIZ though, the paper used is thinner and even the backing feels less sturdy. I guess it still reads the same, but it just feels a bit cheap to handle. There are some interesting extras within this omnibus though, such as several unpublished pilots and alternate openings, so it's worth checking out just for that. If you're a big RK fan, I'd still recommend spending more money for the individual volumes over this. They're easier to read and will last much longer, plus you'll get more cover art. My old volumes from 2005-07 still hold up perfectly, but I don't think this omnibus will see the same longevity.

Excellent format, delivered before than expected..

I gave it as a gift. It came in perfect condition and is as described. I gave it 4 stars because I highly prefer Vizbig 3 in 1 edition. This is smaller with thinner pages and no colored pages included.

I bought this book since the Vizbig edition for volumes 1-3 is sold out and is sold completely overpriced by resellers. This book is good enough if you are not a collector or if you are the type of person that reads manga and then forgets about it. The cover and the pages are definitely low quality but it does the job, but the printing its pretty good. If you are the type of person that likes to read manga and collect it (LIKE ME) or put it on a bookshelf for a future re-read I recommend you buy this book for volumes 1-3 only then buy the rest of the volumes on the Vizbig edition which is what I did. The paper quality and cover quality of the Vizbig editions are unbeatable they are really premium. other than that I feel like this is good enough, you get 3 volumes for the price of 1 and you can never go wrong with that.

The quality is great, and I love this series, but this is not the edition that I expected. I didn't realize that there are 2 versions of Rurouni Kenshin "3 in one" edition in print. If I didn't already have some of the other edition, I'd keep this, but I want a matching collection... FYI

This version is a smidgin smaller than the rest of the VIZ 3-in-1 books we got years ago. Otherwise, perfect.

Being an omnibus volume the paper is thin, but as long as you're not flailing the book around it holds up fine. Great deal given the content, which is a fantastic manga with a quality story and artwork. I'd recommend this manga to anyone who enjoys humor, swords, action, martial arts, and well-written characters.

I actually made a mistake buying it, I thought it was VIZ big 3-1 edition. Actually this is good enough if you are looking for a cheaper edition

It was great!!

It’s a paperback book. It was damaged (ripped) about 1 inch included was the cover and first 5 pages (double sided so page 10). We need this for school and can not return as a result of time. Super disappointed.

Fino a poco tempo fa per poter leggere le avventure del mitico samurai vagabondo questa era l’opzione migliore, se non l’unica. Queste edizioni in inglese dette 3in1 offrono un rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente. La veste grafica è abbastanza spoglia. Ora è in corso di ristampa anche in Italia, quindi ci sono ben due opzioni per seguire le vicende del samurai con la lama invertita
