Q: Is this unit waterproof?

I have 6 of these units and keep buying more for testing lots of units at the same time. I feel they are waterproof. I have never had one fail in over the two years I have been using them in refrigerators and testing cycling temperatures on a/c units without having to be their to monitor. Highly recommended

There is no an external probe. The battery life depends on the interval configured to upload the data.

:It depends on what you mean by response time. If you are talking about how frequently it records the temperature, that can be adjusted to suit your liking. You can program it to record a reading every 10 seconds to every 12 hours (technically, every 11 hours, 59 minutes, and 50 seconds.)
