A very rugged and strong easel at an inexpensive price!
These inexpensive easels are perfect for my Hamilton plate collection. They are sturdy and pretty rugged but what I like most is that they only open to about 100 degrees angle so that a smaller plate can't slip through the resting notches. Plates smaller than 7 inches in diameter may slip through. They have raised edge that provides added strength much like an I-beam design. I only wish they were perfectly clear instead of frosted but you really can't see the easels when the plates are mounted.

High Quality and Low Price - Superb Value
This is a very good plastic plate display holder and I'm very pleased with it. It opens too wide for smaller plates, but I was able to change the opening width with some ordinary Scotch tape to prevent it from opening all the way. So in that way, it has become a universal size.If you want to save even more money and wait a couple of weeks to receive it directly from China, you can buy the 5 inch pack of 12 for $5.79 as an add-on item. I ordered the five inch version at the same time, but haven't received it yet. I'll have a lot more than I need, but the price is so inexpensive as to not even matter.

so I was glad they didn't
The plastic is low quality and they are light weight. But it's what I expected based on the other reviews. So far, none have broken though. I used them outside on a windy day and the wind kept knocking them down and they still didn't break. Though, based on the quality I expected them to, so I was glad they didn't!

These are way too light to do what they are ...
These are way too light to do what they are meant to do. I understand that these are not too tall and made of plastic but these 7" tall display holders can't hold an 11" lightly matted print without collapsing. They will hold 8x10's but I expect that if the table they are on is jostled, even a bit, they will fall over. It's not the height that's the problem, it's that the plastic is way too light.

Not perfect, but serviceable
Being the least expensive product I could obtain on short notice, I felt fortunate to find these. I needed a lot of them to display photos at a kids' art fair. They are not the best quality and the hinges are completely made out of plastic (not even a metal pin in the joint), but they serve my purposes at a price I can afford. My main complaint is that I wish the legs were shorter. The easels are very lightweight and would benefit from a lower center of gravity.I'll have to see how well they perform in actual use.

Too fragile, not a good buy!
These are very fragile. Of the 12 that I purchased, I only have about 6 left that didn't break. I was at a craft show displaying my plates, one fell over knocking a few others over and the stands broke at the hinges. I think it is more practical to buy the more expensive wooden ones, then invest in any of this type again.

Too Flimsy for Ceramic Plates
Great fast delivery. But sending them back. They are not sturdy enough to hold a ceramic plate which is what i wanted it for. Maybe paper or cardboard. I thought i was getting a good deal, but unfortunately you get what you pay for.

Eeek. I guess you pay for what you get? Nearly half arrived broken... very lightweight and not incredibly sturdy, but that is fine for my usage and luckily I didn't need all 12. I definitely would NOT purchase again though.
