Volvo BL71 Volvo Remote Controlled Backhoe Loader

Bought two of these for my two five year old grandsons for Christmas. They were great looking and the boys were excited. Grandpa put the batteries in and unfortunately the wheels on one of them wouldn't turn. Dad and Grandpa looked it over and discovered some glue had inadvertently fallen into the control and the steering device couldn't turn it. I immediately contacted the company and they directed us to send it back and it would be replaced. Just as they promised the whole process took only about eight days and my grandson had his perfect backhoe loader. Actually it worked out well because he had a bunch of other toys and this one was "new." It was just a "freaky thing" (as the kids said) that it didn't work, happens sometimes, but it was taken care of and he loves the toy. It's a quality product despite the little problem. The other boy took his home and he and his two older brothers played with it continually, finding all kinds of things to "scoop and haul."

looks nice but piece of garbage, kids were so upset with their Xmas present until i got them a much better one on amazon would expect something more from a Volvo model toy, if you stay 3 feet away this wont work anymore, shovel is not controllable and keeps on falling i have purchase a different one on amazon and was much betterasin B00AG573L8

This thing works pretty good, doesn't turn real well and the remote takes some getting used to. Not sure it will be very easy for my 3 year old to get the hang of but after about 3 minutes I had it down pretty good. The bucket arm on the back of the tractor seems pretty breakable. It doesn't really serve much purpose other than looks. Also it does not turn at all if the front loader is in a low position for some reason. The range I would say is about 15 feet and after that it gets a little choppy. Neat that the front loader moves up and down but don't expect to be picking anything up with it, you can't adjust the angle with the remote so it is mainly for show as well. The detail is great, front wheels wobble quite a bit when moving. Overall I would say this is worth the money especially if it holds up over time.

Of all things, he wanted an RC backhoe. Know how hard it is to find a BACKHOE? You can find loaders, you can find dump trucks, cement trucks, cranes... But backhoes? That's a tough one. Well, here it is. And so far it's performed flawlessly. Get this thing and start having fun.

Okay. Not a great RC, but not bad at the same time. Tires are hard and not soft so if you want more grip you'll have to put weight in back scoop. I plan on upgrading it with better motors and electronics. Bucket won't touch the ground completely. For younger kids to drive around house it's great.

Hi, I got this Back Hoe for my self/kids. It is so very nice in the way it looks and the way it is made. The details are just outstanding as are the moving parts. I have not put the batterys in yet, because I keep it on my desk at work.

I'm really glad that amazon has an excellent return policy.This item was a christmas gift, and luckily i tried it out before packing itup for christmas day. The remote was not even shipped in a working state --electrical contacts were not made. The backhoe unit itself would not power on atall. It looked pretty cool, but seemed fairly fragile and smaller than it looksin the pictures -- a little shorter than a loaf ofbread and about as wide and tall.I cannot recommend purchase of this item.

This toy is very pretty but not a quality toy.Upon arrival, the motor wouldn't engage with the front-end loader. It would just grind. With fiddling, you could get it to engage for one lift and lower and then it would dis-engage again.The left drive axle was bent on arrival and as the wheels are only a mm smaller than the opening, the wheels rubbed making it impossible to roll forward and back.Finally the back-hoe is crap. The joints are very loose so it is difficult to keep it stationary when playing. Also the latch keeping it up when using the remote is too easily disconnected letting the back-hoe flop around.The only reason this device gets 2 stars is that it is very pretty.
