Almost a great Buy
Overall this is not a bad trim router and good value for the average D-I-Y'er.Dust extraction port does not fit a standard European size shop vac hose connection, so you need to source an adapter to fit.The casting of the depth scale on the plunge base is poor as it’s both hardly legible and inaccurate. (Coating the graduations with a sharpie helps a little on legibility)It’s great that there is a full set of good quality brass guide bushings supplied, with sizes that you can actually read from the impressions on the plastic case. However- Either, there is a basic problem in that they are manufactured too large or too small, dependant on the usage point, OR the router bases are incorrectly sized. The manual states that you can use the bushings with the standard trim base, however the bushings are slightly too small on the outer shell to be held in that base plate. It’s slightly better with the lock nut installed but it is NOT secured by anything. Therefore, in use the bushing could be dislodged and become a danger if contacted by a spinning bit (almost inevitable). This may actually make the device non-compliant with European safety standards.Use of the bushings in the plunge base is much better, however the plate retaining screws are made just a little too proud by the addition of a spring washer, this making the base plate uneven with the workpiece. It doesn’t seem possible to remove the spring washers easily. The plastic dust extraction attachments seem to work well but would benefit from having a small rubber washer attached to the fixing thumb screw to prevent them from falling out and becoming lost. The router seems powerful enough for most needs and the adjustable speed control is a plus. The usual additional guide attachments seem to function well for the trim base. As does the guide rail for the plunge base. The plunge function is smooth and works well. The plunge stops work fine, although obviously manufactured to a price point. The fine depth adjustment on the trim base needed some fiddling to make it work effectively but seems ok. The fine depth adjuster on the plunge base is functional but the accuracy is questionable ( I haven’t really used it enough yet to come to a proper conclusion). The included Router bits are pretty basic fayre but useful nonetheless and are all bits that would commonly be used rather than anything weird and wonderful.Overall this is a decent tool for the price if you’re a general D-I-Yer and as with most tools built to a price point it takes some usage and workaround to develop the familiarity to get the best from them. The biggest failing for me is the incorrect sizing of the guide bushings which if manufactured with better end-to-end quality control and a couple of millimetres of extra brass, would have made this a great buy.

I bought this product. Turned it on and it worked for about 30 seconds then stopped. Tried emailing the seller to no avail.
