I love these salt and pepper grinders for their unique style and one-handed function. They are durable and well-made of metal and glass...NO PLASTICI purchased the red and black seperately because I did not want the plastic stand included in the set.

I had trouble with a new sea salt, and it was soft and would not grind any three different grinders I tried; but this grinder solved that problem, and feels like it will last forever. Just make sure you clean the shaft, if you are grinding soft salt, as it builds up on the shaft.

Definitely get the Originals from Grind Gourmet, they've lasted 3 years and counting! Everyone who uses it loves it and want's to know where I got it. Have not had any problems, though once or twice it's gotten jammed up with a particularly tough peppercorn. Shaking it around or using two hands cleared that up right away. Other than that I have not had difficulty pressing it with one hand.They are hand size, so not great for seasoning while you cook but a great size for on the table. One click gives a perfect amount of salt, and two or three for the perfect peppering.I've started buying them as housewarming gifts for family, and would highly recommend them.

This is smaller than it looks. It's about the size of a table-top salt shaker. It fits in the palm of your hand. This only has a few small moving parts so it doesn't seem like it would break any time soon. All of the parts are heavy duty and will last a while.my only concern was how much content it would hold. but it's so easy to fill up i do not think that will be a big problem.

So much better than a standard pepper mill. I wish it was larger so I could put more pepper in but that is my only criticism. Fun to use!

I love the look and it is made well. Just very hard to push down with one hand. Tried with all different grinds. Even very hard with fine grind salt. Works ok using both hands.
