This 10-pound collection of assorted, authentic Pennsylvanian Age (318-299 million years ago) plant fossils plates. The plates range in size from 4 inches up to 8 inches. Many have plants on both sides. Most of the plants are from prehistoric trees like Lepidodendron, Sigillaria, Calamites and Cordaties and their various associated leaves like Alethopteris, Neuropteris, Pecopteris and Annularia. There are generally other branches and twigs in the collection. Some plates may be split further to reveal other fossils. NOTE: The photos on the right are just a few sample pieces from one of the boxes.
