I bought this make of candle about 10 years ago and loved them . Over the years and in use constantly the battery compartments are either broken or loose and I needed new candles. I have bought cheaper ones over the years as extras but you get what you pay for and they donโt compare with Luminera ones . I have just received 3 of these large candles and they are fabulous . Much better battery compartments, and larger batteries so not needing changing as often .!They are more of a cream colour than ivory but I love them .. Afte buying 5 of these candles , after 3 months one of the candles did not work properly . I put it on the timer and it works when put on but never repeats . Still love them but it is a nuisance . The other 4 work perfectly. After 2 battery changes the rogue one is working perfectly now ! May have been a new battery problem. All working fabulously now am ordering 2 more for this Christmas

The changes in this pillar was not so great, for me at least, as now these have a scent and the flame is larger, more โenergeticโ rather than prior style, and though these candles are created and built well, always has been expensive over years. Now have found and tried out very similar candles designed and made well by a new competitor online. They are true-wax-covered, long-hours of one set of batteries, off-white beautiful, and the remote control works great. Not a problem because these are used just like the Luminara candles, designed & only indoors, one is able to locate & check in when desire their soft, flickering as it can be easily controlled.

I absolutely love these candles as they look like real candles, without the danger of a flame (which makes my hubby happy lol). The batteries last a long time (that's why I stick with D batteries).

It says: Control it via the built-in switch or included remote for added convenience but there was no remote.
