If you can get it in the slot without binding this thing will shred it. Paper, paperclips, film, card stock, file folder, cds, credit cards... it barely strains when fully loaded. I used this unit for about 40 minutes at a time for about 3 days now, letting it cool for an hour in-between sessions. It shreds nicely, quietly and efficiently. There is a bit of paper dust after several uses, and stray shreds fall inside the cabinet. But this is a very good value and seems to be holding up well. Without jamming or overheating.. so far. It is a relatively slow process to shred the number of documents I need to dispose of, so I'm still going to schedule a shredder truck. But I'm glad I bought this shredder and I'll get very good use out of it.

This is an excellent paper shredder. Not very fast, but it has a lot of torque and rarely bogs down, or jams, even with very heavy, stiff cardboard. For the past couple of years we have used this to shred all manner of cardboard boxes for mulch, and even being kept in an outside (covered) garage somewhat exposed to the elements for better part of a year, the only problem is the power button became stuck (in the On position fortunately). I would highly recommend.Related note: From the factory, the opening is too narrow to effectively feed thicker cardboard (such as the heavy duty moving boxes). However, I performed some minor surgery with a Dremel tool to enlarge the feed opening, and now it works great. This involves some minor disassembly; however, if you're' careful to mind wires, especially the light activated feed sensor, it's not hard to do. Unfortunately, I have not found a reasonably priced unit on the market that will feed cardboard. If you're willing to modify, this unit will do it.If it fails, I would purchase again.

The specified sizing is exact, make sure not place the item to be shredded at an angle. That said, this machine is quiet, quick and efficient. I have owned the shredder under a week, so I can't speak to durability. It is heavy, and does have wheels for easy placement. I like how it works, the nine gallon collection tub is easy to remove and dump. I wish it a long and productive life.

Excellent shredder that can do up to 27 pages at once. Comes assembled and ready to use. Also can shred old credit cards and has an easy bin to empty.

I had a paper shredder that they said could grind ten pages at a time. Yeah Right, it was lucky if it could do two and if you used it longer then five minutes it would overheat. Thats the reason I got this Bonsen shredder. This thing is a monster, it doesn't slow down for nothing and never overheats. I had years and years of tax return papers. You know the kind of papers you just don't want to throw straight in the garbage with all your info for people to read. Well, this baby will take care of that. I spent a whole day feeding this thing papers and it had to be 10 or more pages at a time non stop including folders and this shredder buzzed through it no sweat. Great product a little costly but well worth it. Also this is a larger unit, I'd say the size of a standard metal garbage can. So if your tight for space you might not like the size. But if you want to grind your heart away this is the unit to do it with. I think the next thing I'm going to do is grind my own meat and I'll bet it would do it too lol!

The Bonsen Paper Shredder S3105 is heavy duty 24 page max.Pro: Great capacity, jam resistant, easy to clean up using 13 gallon recycling bags as inserts. Recovers from thermal shutdown in about an hour. Large waste bin.Con: The slot for letter size paper is smaller than my former shredder. The smaller slot requires that a stack of paper must be carefully aligned right and left or the stack won’t fit in the shredder. An extra quarter inch width to the slot would overcome this annoying obstacle.The machine engine is quiet but the sound of the paper being shredded is noisier than my former high capacity machine. I’m not sure why this is.Would I buy again? Probably yes, although I would review all the other options

The media could not be loaded. Shreds cardboard with ease! This thing is a workhorse and saved a ton of space in the recycle bin. We use the shreds in our compost for our garden. With a household of 11, we have a lot of packages come to us. This resolved a lot of stress off my back wondering how I was going to manage all these boxes. The recycling bin gets filled pretty quickly in my neighborhood. I have yet to have any issues. It’s jam resistant for sure, incredibly durable, and worth the investment as far as I’m concerned.
