Finally, finally, after years of fumbling and bumbling and getting one horrible product after another, I have in this brand an authentic, genuine, lovely actual Violet fragrance perfume. I really got it this time. Not nasty little over-powering body oils, not the nightmares of vanilla-scented ghastly colognes or the hideousness of Yardley or just the stink of what so many other cosmetic companies pass off as Violet. This is the real thing, in the neighborhood of the classic kinds we used to be able to buy when I was a young twerp of a girl in the 1970s. (And guess what, I even like this BETTER than Violettes de Toulouse or Violetta di Parma). Oh, if you Molinard people manufactured a soap I would think I died and went to Heaven, but just having classic perfume of the kind women who wore Violet used "back in the day" -- and that could go back 100 or more years -- is so heartening. No bug spray smell, nothing weird, nothing cheated. Finally as an aged Boomer I got the real thing.

I’ve purchased this fragrance in Italy and ordered from a reputable store in the states. Tried this from Amazon but it does not smell the same. I strongly believe it’s a fake.

I almost never write Amazon reviews but this is an exception. Love love love. Not an old lady scent at all, there's nothing powdery about it (although I do pay homage to my grandmother when I wear it, who loved violets). It's elegant, sweet, but not *too* sweet like many florals. There's something almost earthy about it, like a true flower growing in a garden. Violet isn't a common scent, so I feel really special when I wear it. Sometimes I layer it with a lavender scent (also French) for depth. I've been looking my entire life for a signature scent and I think I finally found it. Please don't ever stop making it!

OMG this is my favorite perfume ever made. If you like the smell of violet then you would love this scent. It is true to smell. I just purchased two more bottles.

Perfume doesn’t smell bad but it’s just Generic and doesn’t last a long time
