That means that in bad weather, we have to watch every single drop. That means a lot less showering than most people.That translates to using dry shampoo, as well as other buildup on my scalp.This dark paste scrubs all of that stuff away. Better than any clarifying shampoo.Afterwards, I use a heavy duty hair mask, usually with a heating cap.Clean and conditioned, my hair can stay fresh and looking nice for longer periods of time.Terrific product, recommended if you are looking to exfoliate your scalp.In my opinion, if all of those follicles are free from debris, it likely helps with new growth.Update: okay, so I'm in a hotel and I know that tomorrow some poor unexpecting housekeeping person will be here to clean.Because this should ideally stay on your head for a few minutes after you scrub it on, I tried to wet my hair in the sink, and then take some and put it on my head.Well, you can imagine what happened. Clumps of this product wound up in the sink and on the floor. Because of the color, I carefully cleaned each and every spot that I could, well, spot!I always tip housekeeping very well when I leave a room, but just in case I missed a little bit of this product, they are getting an extra big tip this time. And I hope my pre-clean was thorough enough that they won't know why the big tip!I really hope this made you smile and laugh, and instead of totally grossing you out. I apologize if it grossed you out.

I have naturally wavy/frizzy/curly hair depending on the weather. I use a lot of product to try to take it. I bought this, because it was on sale. I was amazed at how my hair felt after using it. My hair felt SILKY! It was even easy to style with my straightening iron after using this. I did think I would have gritty stuff left in my hair due to the consistency of it, but it rinsed away with ease.The only complaints I have may be due to my OCD. Mixing it before use but also trying to keep the water from my shower out of the container overwhelm me. I have to wear my watch in the shower to set a 2 minute timer for it, since it says leave on for 2 minutes. (Normal people might not need to be that exact.)

It's very hard to work this into your scalp. It either crumbles and ends up on the floor of the shower, or turns into a very sticky brown goo that stays stuck to your fingers. I had to use a ton of product and a lot of it went to waste. My scalp felt very sensitive afterwards, but it did help cut down on the dry skin flakes. I won't return this, but I wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't buy it again.

This product really works and yes I was skeptical at first and I don't normally switch up my hair routine in fear of damaging my hair. It is about 4 and half foot long from the scalp of my head to the tips of my hair. But dandruff and itchy scalp is something I know alot about. I was scared to try anything new because you never know what might happen. But something about this product stood out to me and I just had to see this was the answer I have been searching for and much to my surprise it has been. My scalp feels so clean and full of life since I used this product the that I have had more confidence and pep in my step.

I followed the instructions for the AyurVita Haircare - Maka Extract Scalp Scrub & Cleanser - Bio-Certified Hair Treatment, and you need to realize that although it calls itself a cleanser, it doesn't feel like one at all. The directions for this scalp scrub AND CLEANSER call for rubbing the product all over your scalp and hair, and leaving it for two minutes; then rinsing and following up with a conditioner.I did this, but let me tell you that this was a strange experience, since this scrub felt like I was rubbing salt and oil all over my head and hair and leaving it for two minutes. It smelled herbal and fragrant, and I didn't mind leaving it, but in NO WAY did I feel like I was cleaning my hair in a way that I was used to. It felt more like exfoliating and scrubbing my scalp and hair with salt and...rubbing oil on my head. There is absolutely no way you can use this as cleanser, rinse your hair, and feel like you've cleaned your hair and you are done. You WILL need a conditioner. I almost used a shampoo afterward, but decided to follow the instructions.I was pleased that after I used conditioner, my head and hair felt great. My hair was soft and voluminous. I do recommend this, but be warned that you absolutely will need a good conditioner following its use.
