FilofaxPersonal Metropol black organiser

I bought this to replace a small calf leather Filofax I have owned since the mid 1980s! I started putting all my notebooks and diary in it and it was too small. This one has the larger rings that can hold a lot of pages, and has a surprisingly nice feel for synthetic leather. It comes with a stack of pages including a 2020 diary and two pen loops. Only annoying thing is the rather long stiff fastening tab, I find it's best to stick this under the rear pen loop when in use. Pockets are a bit tight but the rear net one is useful. Good price as well.

Arrived In plan carton box not in the original Filofax black hard box and warping paper ?!Ask the seller why ? No reply!The rest is the original good quality . But hasvery limited inserts ! I need it to fill up with 3 more extras to get to normal size which increases the final price to £49,95Not as good value for money as described despite the discount !

Addendum: Since I've had the replacement for a few days. I've noticed that the quality of a modern filofax is sub par since they're made elsewhere. Screenprinted logo had smudges where it wasn't allowed to dry properly, the ring enclosure is skewed on the left hand side. I am disappointed to return it when it could be just the fact that it slipped past quality control.These arent the filofax of the eighties that were made of leather, its plastic vinyl. Second one as first one had a ring problem and wrong diary, it seems slightly bent inwards on the back. Seems cheaply made.

I'm a dinosaur who likes a written diary rather than electronic. This is the right size and fits standard organizer pages if you want to buy extra pages to go in. Mine is full, with addresses pages, diary, notes and all manner of other guff. The only niggle is that the pen holder doesn't hold any of my pens and will only accommodate a very thin biro, but other than that it's just what I wanted. Good quality for the price.

Be careful some might have 2019 calendar insert. Mine fortunately had 2019 and 2020
