Used it on my 17 hmr. Works good but you need to keep the rod straight. No issues as of now.

I'm not an expert at these. I don't own any guns and my uses for these are cleaning holes in machinery, like bolt holes and oil passages, etc. The materials are fine and the workmanship is plenty good enough to get the job done. For me, the box is too big, I'll just take the items out and store them in a bag. The carrying case is mostly foam and I don't have room for that.Otherwise, looks to me like a perfectly good solution to cleaning bores and tubing too long to reach with a short pipe brush.

I can only judge based on the .22 brushes' performance, but this kit works great! If you have a larger caliber gun I know it will work just as well. The cleaning rod is nice and solid, much better than other kits I've tried where the rod snaps off in the barrel. Makes cleaning my little peashooter a breeze!

the amount of bore patches there were

The metal “brief” case is cool and helps keep the parts and pieces accounted for. I would be in total heaven if someone would make a kit like this that includes the cleaning solutions as well! Still looking for an equally cool case for them. Haha
