Great little device
This little thing does what it is deigned for...holding a small camera steady. Use it on flat surface by unfolding its feet and you have a tripod. Use the C-type clamp on a pole or shelf. I would love to see this same design in steel. This one is plastic and doesn't feel rugged, but for the price...what a great deal. I will keep this and my kodak zi8 with me at all times for second camera shots.

Versatile, durable little stand- great for musicians.
I'm not a pro videographer, but I am a working musician. This thing is great. I clamp my remote controllled handycam onto speaker stands and the edge of stage to get good shots across the stage. I clamp it onto lighting booms for overhead shots. You could put it on a spare mic stand if you needed a tripod. It is plastic, but it feels very strong and durable.Super happy with the purchase.

Cute, but flimsy.
Used with a fairly heavy camera, had to turn the knob very firmly to keep it from flopping over. Yes, once it starts moving, it flops right over on its side. Had to make sure the ball clamps were in line and the weight of the camera right above it. Long lens? Forget it. After a few days of using it, the lower ball clamp area apparently failed as it no longer clamps at all. Used for very lightweight point and shoots, it would be fine for occasional use. SLR's, look for a serious mount.

OK but a little weak
I purchased this to use to hold a spotting scope on a 2x4 and it works ok but the plastic is a little weak and the scope leans over even when tightened completely. It does serve its purpose but if it was a little stronger plastic it would be better and I would have rated it higher.

Flimsy, but held a spotting scope perfectly
The plastic IS, as others mentioned, a little 'cheap' feeling...it's not a unit that gives you great confidence in it's durability. But surprisingly, the screw clamp held a spotting scope very tightly in place. It, however, just 'feels' like the kind of plastic that a child's toy is made of.

Yup you need one of these
A versatile tool I hate it that all I can seem to find are go-pro mounts. Go Pro is such a rip off. There are plent of geeat standard mount cameras on the market but it seems to be hard to find mounts for them.

Very Handy
I bought this so that I could mount my video recorder, from a second floor balcony and record a party. It worked very well and provides a strong and stable way to hang your camera just about anywhere. It is a great tool to have in your camera bag.

Swivel Camera Stand: Convenient Equipment for Static Camera Set-ups
This little inexpensive tool is essential for camera set-ups, making other tri-pods obsolete in many instances. It secures solidly not only to cameras but also to most sationary objects such as table tops, doors and window sashes and other parts of furniture. This clamp/tri-pod is a true necessity for investigative work.
