Murder at the village Fete (2)
Another great read and even greater reason to keep finding new books by the author, Catherine Coles. It is amazing to read about murders happening before my lifetime. These books all have wonderful characters and amazing stories!!

Series abandoned by author
After six books in the series, the author has moved on. I enjoyed the first six, but I donโt recommend reading them unless youโre okay being left hanging. Book 7 has been delayed for over a year until completely cancelled. I guess we will never know how Tommy & Evelynโs story ends.

An Enjoyable Book.
I really enjoy the Tommy and Evelyn Christie Mysteries. They are a fun read and I love the era they are set in, especially the English Lords and Ladies. She is very gifted writer who has a way with murder. An excellent new series.

More good murders by C. COLES
Catherine Coles writes a good British country house murder mystery. Evelyn's father asks her to invite 3 other couples to join him and his wife to the Christie's estate to review a past scandal that has been resurrected. And getting the former friends together results in murder. A good read!

The Christies make solving murders look easy.
Tommy and Evelyn Christie are a delightful young couple coming to terms with their new status as Lord and Lady. A very good mystery that wasn't that easy to solve.

Not a way to end a book.
I'm on vacation on a tropical island and I comfortably lie back in the sun to read the second of Catherine Coles books. I find it intriguing like the first book and very fast paced. Later the next night I pick it up to finish it and find out who the killer is and it doesn't end. I have to wait til I get back home and BUY the next book for a conclusion. This does not seem fair. I won't buy the next book and draw my own conclusions.

Entertaining
Loved the first book in the series so there is no surprise that I liked this one as well. What's not to like? Two reluctant aristocrats, a feisty aunt, a murder victim that no one likes all set in the 1920s in England. This was well written. No obvious murderer, so the process of discovery held my attention.

Really enjoyed
after I read the first book I knew I wanted to read the series. And this one is just as good. I have the third one to read and the 4th one on the wishlist.

Tommy and Evelyn are back
Like these mysteries based in the past how things were in the villages with the lord and lady of the manor and the mysteries are good and Tommy and Evelyn's way of investigating them while trying to adjust to their newly status in life are interesting. Have them all so far and look forward to the next one. passes a pleasant few hours trying to work out the clues for you to guess who done it before end of book. If you like gentle mysteries these are for you

Tommy and Evelyn are in the thick of it again!
Such a great series. Tommy and Evelyn are now lord and lady Northmoor. Life has certainly changed for them and are trying to get to grips with their new life and responsibilities when entertaining Evelyns parents and friends for the weekend something horrible happens and its up to Tommy and Evelyn to get to the bottom of it all again. Couldn't put it down!

Rubbish
A very poor effort of a completely worn out genre. Lord, and Lady whatever, solving the crimes, whilst the thicker than thick police, are as usual, being talked down to, and made to appear to be fools by the upper crust. The narrator is quite good though

Prompt and Courteous Service
The book is a gift for my sister's birthday so I have not read it but hopefully she will pass it on. I was very pleased that the item arrived on time, was as described by the seller and I received prompt and courteous service.
