Good when using lighter hair dye
I've used to use another grey additive that was dark and always made my pretty browns come out darker than I wanted. What I love about this one is the reddish hue, which works great while keeping pretty brown hair dye true to color.

works
Didn't realize how TINY this would be, you need a microscope to read instructions, and I could not figure out how to work the top, so instead of drops, it just pours out. I think I will look for this at my neighborhood beauty supply. But it does help cover my stubborn greys

Oops they missed on this one
The serum seems to work better on darker colors, however the lighter colors wash out fast.

Good additive
This product works pretty good.I don't like the Ion packaging, it is not easy to measure out and makes a mess.

Wonderful but horrible
I’m at the hair dresser with my wife. Normally the hair dresser uses Gray Magic but it isn’t currently available so Ion Gray Serum was the next choice. So, how do you get Ion’s lid off? It doesn’t screw off. Pry it off at the base or does the top rip free? With difficulty the lid at the very top can be broken away from the plastic so I think that was the answer (probably). So how do you extract 10 drops as directed? Who knows? There is no dropper, no instructions. The packing is so difficult to use and it has no means to measure the product my wife’s hair dresser does not recommended it until the packaging is improved. PS, I called customer service, and the product is really supposed to be this bad…

The packaging is a disaster
The vial is about 1” high 1/2” in diameter. The cap is thin and small. You can’t open it by turning, you have to push the top (lid) up. When you succeed, it will splash, do it in the sink. Ok, you opened it and now need to measure by drops per instruction. The bottle opening is too wide to control the amount, there is no dropper included. You have to eyeball, if you are not prepared. I was not. I miss Gray Magic with its sensible packaging.
