Awesome
Iโve been really impressed with the Homedics Portable Humidifierโitโs exactly what I needed for a small, flexible setup. The size is perfect. Itโs compact enough to sit on my nightstand or desk without taking up space, but still puts out a noticeable amount of moisture. Iโve used it in my bedroom at night, in my office during the day, and even taken it with me while traveling. Itโs super easy to move around and doesnโt feel bulky at all. What I like most is how simple it is to use. Fill it up, plug it in, and it just worksโno complicated setup. It runs quietly too, which is great for sleeping or focusing during work. Iโve also noticed a difference with dry air, especially overnight and around my plants. Overall, itโs a great little humidifier if you want something portable, effective, and easy to use. Definitely recommend for bedrooms, offices, or travel.

Compact and easy to use
This humidifier works really well. It holds enough water to get you through the night. I keep it by my bedside. It is really portable and compact. I will be taking it with me camping. I recommend this unit for small spaces or bedrooms as well. Iโve used this unit for well over 2 weeks and it really adds moisture to the air in my house.

Design can be improved upon, currently an actual safety hazard. Long review, audhd, got bored.
Echoing the other 1 star review from 2022. However, if Homedics actually accepts my feedback and comes back with an improved product. Ill totally update my review โญ โญ โญ โญ โญ Tldr/The products are still defective. I can attest to what happens when the puddles get big enough on the top of the humidifier if left unattended and not wiped free of dust regularly. The drops end up congregating till they start dripping down the outside and down to where the plug is (which is NOT far from the top). The plug got wet. Idfk how the house didn't catch fire. I threw out the humidifier, cord, and usb/2 prong connector as soon as I saw the toasted usbc connector in the port of the humidifier. Threw it all in the trash. The feedback: Its time to go back to the drawing board, Homedics, on this one. This humidifier is an actual safety hazard in its current design. Please add better water resistance and protection around the charging area and power button, at a minimum. For the humidifier part; how much mist can be generated safely based on temperature of the water and heat resistance of the parts? Is a low grade heat more helpful in generating steam? Would a deeper well help keep the mist condensation safely contained, while still remaining a cylindrical sphere? Would a sideways release of steam allow for less dust accumulated and less condensate? Would there be a way to send condensate back into the bottle without compromising the tip over safe feature? To reuse the condensate? Looking forward to the next iteration ๐๐ผ I like the cup design, it fits well in the hand, holds a decent amount of water compared to the novelty small humidifiers, its tip over safe, its portability, its ease of tucking into a bag, knowing that it is the same size as a water bottle, and I like the water cleanliness design. The electric bits: The battery life and timer could be updated. 2 hour battery life and 10 hour timer literally cancel out to make it so it basically needs to stay plugged in for the 10 hours, or the time its taken off the charger and run, its only going to put out 2 hours at a time. The timer shouldn't exceed the portable capability. Either extend the battery life or decrease the length of possible timer. Change the timer so it is not limited to only 1. Give it a range of timer levels accompanied by small indicator lights. I believe this humidifier lasted 10 days at most before cooking itself due to poor safety and common sense considerations on how water behaves in the design. Its not a terrible brand, this design can be improved upon and be a better product, where its 3/4 of the way there already. If you got to the end of this, I was bored and decided to ask for what I want to be changed in this product, and what I really liked while I had it, until I noticed its easy to miss hazards and had a brief scare. I enjoy Homedics parraffin wax dipping crockpot shaped bowl. My hands are always in so much pain, and the pain melts away for a bit with the heat from the wax. I can dip my hands as many times as I please when the pain is bad, or I just want to relax, as many times as I want. Its amazing.

Useful but not perfect for my needs.
I bought this for extra humidification when traveling with a portable CPAP. These travel units don't have a water tank and just use an inline device that captures moisture from your breath. Not as effective as a water tank, so I tried this unit from a recognized brand. Placed it on my nightstand and ran it on intermittent the first night. The instructions suggested it would use up enough water that running on full would not last an 8 hour night. In the morning, I found it had only used a fraction of the water. I woke up with a dry throat. Some of this issue is surely that this (and other small portable humidifiers) are ultrasonic, which creates a fine mist that settles, rather than being absorbed into the air, as with a heated humidifier. You can watch this as the device operates. Next time I placed it on the rooms a/c unit, thinking this would result in more of the water being evaporated into the room air. This did work better, but the unit wasn't functioning in the morning. However, I believe this to be the fault of my Anker powerbank which is made for charging a phone and appears to turn off after a time, when the current drawn is below a certain level. After that, I ran an extension cord to the nearest outlet and ran it in intermittent mode on top of the a/c unit. This worked much better and my throat dryness was minimal in the morning. It still used less than half the water in the reservoir, however. On my first trip, I had a difficult time remembering how to switch modes with the single button and turn off the colored light ring, which I find quite annoying when I am trying to sleep. I put a label on it to remind me of the modes. Size of the unit is almost identical to some bluetooth speakers at about 2.5" in diameter and just over 7" tall. The internal battery is only enough to run it a few hours, so it will need an external power source with a Micro USB connector if that kind of runtime is needed. Overall, this did solve my problem once I experimented with it and found it a good value for what I paid. Update 2/24/23: On my most recent trip I found my throat dry the first morning, but after the first night, it had put enough humidity into my hotel room that my problem was resolved. Running it steady seems to use most of the water in the tank within a few hours, so I will run it that way for a few hours before bed. Then I'll put it on the nightstand on intermittent spray and there is plenty of water left in the tank in the morning. I also have a correction to my earlier review: The water droplets do not settle. If that were the case, my phone and other items on the nightstand would have been soaked after just a little while. So this does get absorbed into the air. Added 10/24/23 I think the battery or power supply finally died after roughly a year and a half of routine travel usage. It wont operate plugged in or on battery, but some of the internal LED's are on. I've had bicycle tail lights that behaved like this when the battery was so low that it could not turn itself off properly. I've gotten my money's worth out of it.

Two months after using stopped working, the LED weakly flashes red and thatโs it

I got this little humidifier for my trips, as I can't stand the dry air that heaters produce in the winter. Hotels don't really provide humidifiers, so I need to bring this on my upcoming trips. I tested it for 24 hours, and I must say I'm impressed with how well it works! I love how powerful it is considering its size. Setting it up was very intuitive, too. This will go with me on every trip for sure! I think I'd buy a back-up one even.

Use it on plants with portable charger so it runs 10 hours. It's amazing. I want a slightly bigger version. I've been using the same wick for months and haven't had to clean it once

Perfect for my desk at work. The office is very dry and this allows me to breathe in fresh air and keep me alert.
