Overall good clock. Cannot hear and ticking noise from it. Would recommend.

I've only had this for one week, but so far, it has been exactly what I was looking for. It is completely silent, which was a must for me. I put my ear next to the clock and heard nothing. I had to wait several minutes initially just to see if it was actually keeping track of time because it has no sound at all. Sure enough, it has been accurate in its time keeping. The description didn't explicitly require a carbon zinc battery like some clocks do, but I used a "Heavy Duty" zinc oxide battery. These batteries are cheap and meant for low-drain devices. It's worked great so far.Of note, the hands are easy to bend. That's the same for any exposed-hand clock. It's not unusual to have to use a bit of gentle force to make sure the two hands are parallel and don't collide into each other or into the clock face. You also have to manually adjust the clock by pushing the hands to the correct position when you first start, otherwise the hour hand isn't square on the number when the minute hand is at 12. After that first adjustment, it has been great.The hook it comes with is strange. It's literally a white plastic hook that you push 4 pins into the wall to hold up. But the clock has a hanging hole meant for a nail/screw head, which would have been smaller profile (completely hidden by the clock) and probably cheaper for them to provide. I just used a screw I had lying around and it's holding nice and firm.So far, it has been a good purchase. If it stops working, I'll update this post.

An accurate, silent, stylish, well made, metal, wall clock. Even the gold hands are metal, & not the flimsy plastic that many similar clocks feature. After shopping online and in stores, I felt that this clock would be the best option, and I was not disappointed in the least. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Nice finish. Not too rustic looking; ie too galvanized. Good size. 36 was a bit too large. The hands are quite thin and gif damaged in shipping, but Amazon promptly replaced my order. Very happy with it.
