If your dog can't jump up your bed, it shouldn't jump down
I have a 18 pound, 6 y.o. puggle-chi. Lately I've been noticing her started to limp mid-walk. I have a dyi ramp for her to go up the bed, however she is scared to go down it and has been jumping off my raised bed for years. Sometimes I watch her body "bottom-out" on the landing. Ouch! After some research, I learned that dogs should not jump down what they cannot jump up. Makes sense right?Solution = Pet Stairs. I did a great deal of research and was going to pull the trigger on a few cheaper models, obvious money savings, but I am very, very pleased with these stairs. She took to them within a few minutes and has no problem going up or down. They aren't cheap, but you're buying the Lamborghini of dog stairs. They're super soft, but keep their form. She been using them for a few months now and no problems.Note: I was stuck between the 5 or 6 stair. I have your average height queen size bed on a frame and I'm glad I went with the 5 stair. It's a small step down, like in the picture, but any bigger and it would take more bedroom space up.

Excellent quality, right sized stairs for small dogs
This is our 2nd set of PetStairz stairs. First was the 6 Step Petstairz, making this an easy additional selection for our chihuahuas (one a teacup) to now get up and down on their own from the beds in both bedrooms. This review applies equally well to both sized stairs. The price may seem high compared to other pet steps, but the quality is all there and worth it. Plush, well constructed cover. Launders well. These are firm, solid block foam stairs, not cardboard shells or lightweight box framing. Both sets of stairs are lightweight and easy to move. More than sturdy enough for our 4.5 & 12 pound dogs. After being in use daily since April, the 6 step is showing no sign of deterioration.A very important selling point is the 4" rise and 6" deep tread, which is much better than most other pet steps. The shallower rise and larger tread keeps our small dogs from having to do "handstands" trying to go down or "climbing a ladder" going up.Aside from being wary of the initial scent after unpacking, our dogs have had no hesitation in using them right from the start. Not even the pampered, spoiled teacup who always insists on being picked up and carried around -- she eagerly and willingly uses the stairs now instead of whining from the floor. [Don't let my wife see this review. That's her baby I'm insulting. ;-) ]Vendor PetStairz ships as promptly as Amazon Prime! Very pleased all around. Highly recommend these stairs.

Sturdy but light weight, easy to clean and attractive
These stairs allow my senior cocker spaniel easy access to a very high old-fashioned bed. The fabric cover makes it easy for him to grip the stairs and easy for me to throw it in the washer. The very slight "give" of the foam body initially made my dog uneasy, but he quickly mastered it and now bounces up and down with no problems. The stairs are lightweight so they are easy to move when I make the bed. My dog and I just love this product!

Wonderful Help for Older or Injured Dogs
Our little dog is getting old and can't jump up on the couch to sit with us anymore. We bought this and within 2 days, she was going up and down it like it had always been there. Great idea! The stairs are made of dense foam, with a material cover (which can be removed and washed). We had previously tried hard stairs and our dog refused to use them. Even though we had shown her how to use them, she still refused. I don't know if it was the hard stairs, or the fact that they could be slippery, or what. However, she took to the foam stairs instantly and has used them ever since.

These are great! I've used the high density foam stairs for years, but needed some taller ones and these were all I could find. They were quite a bit more expensive than the ones I've used previously, but as soon as I felt them I could tell they were better quality. They are more solid. This helps my dogs with bad knees and short legs. (My dogs are all small.) My other ones have lasted for years, so I have no doubt that these will last at least as long. If you have a dog that chews, they could easily be damaged, so keep that in mind.

Very Happy with Purchase
I ordered these for my small dog to go up and down the bed and sofa with. I must shad previously tried another brand at petco that were very flimsy and light and that I quickly returned.I am very happy with these...They are very sturdy and he is going up and down with no problem. One thing is that when I received them they had a glue smell to them. It left after a couple of hours but make sure to air them once you receive them. The store I bought them from was very helpful.

I did not think it was worth buying.
Too flimsy and needed to be propped up. The steps were too shallow. My dogs would not use it. Expesive return shipping. No help from vendors. I returned it with the help of Amazon.

and they remain in good shape. She's even thrown up on them once ...
I've had these stairs for a couple of years now and they've stood the test of time and constant usage. My pug uses them on a daily basis to get up and down from my bed, and they remain in good shape. She's even thrown up on them once and thanks to the fact that you can remove the outer cover and wash it, it was an easy clean-up. Good, reliable pet stairs.
