Well-made carrier! Really great seller also!
Finally, I purchased two of these, one beige/med and one gray/large. I had been researching carriers for my two cats, one which was a stray and I rescued; I must have seen over 100 types of carries looking for all features I wanted, and had been reading reviews and questions for this one. I also had been communicating with the seller, Sugar Loaf Home Goods, and they're extremely responsive, answered all questions, and helped me with the purchase. This carries has most features I wanted, but some important were missing. Features I wanted:1. Ventilation - I don't want mesh on all sides, but want mesh in most places as I live in a warm/hot climate (Miami). I want to make sure that if I'm waiting with them outside, they won't be too warm. This only has the top, one full side, and a quarter of the back side (I think it could've been also full mesh, but it isn't). When the expandable sides are closed, I was concerned about it.2. Zippers - I wanted self-locking zippers as I'm unsure what cats can do, so just as a precaution.3. Tether/leash inside4. Seat belt and luggage strap5. Sturdy, well-made, with durable mesh6. Privacy cover that rolls up exposing a top, zippered mesh7. One side expandable8. Plush, removable padMain concerns: 2 expandable sides, zippers, and tether. So, this one meets most features and has 2 expandable sides which reduces ventilation on one in case that one would have mesh. When closed, they are surrounded by plush which can make them warmer as the plush on the sides are not removable. Thus, that was one main concern. However, I also thought my cats may feel more comfortable in it since it ''hides'' them better.Since I've had them, I think there may be a workaround that I have to test: instead of zippering the plush expandable sides, I can remove the plush pad at the bottom, fold the plush sides and put the pad over it. They will have the mesh of the expandable sides there, but it may be cooler. Again, I need to test that.Concerning the zippers, I figured out a way before I purchased the bag: there are 2 zippers on each side, so I bought clasps, Metal Swivel Clasps Lanyard Snap Hook Lobster Claw Clasp, which I used to lock the zippers together. They're easy to use and remove when needed, but gives me more peace of mind.It has a tether/leash inside. It doesn't have a privacy cover, but it seems private enough already, or I can use a light blanket if they're bothered. It's a negotiable feature. The carrier has 2 removable rods, covered, on the top and bottom which helps keep its shape. It should be useful if flying with pets as you can remove the top to squish it under the seat should it be necessaryI have opened it in full and let the cats explore them. One tried it on right away, the one recently rescued, but the other, she is cautious to a great extent and took a few days. She's comfortable exploring it as long as it doesn't look like she's going to be stuck in it.The other main element was the role of the seller: they're patient, prompt, even when I told them I might not buy the carriers because I was mainly concerned with the ventilation and the zippers. They're friendly and offered assistance no matter what I decided.Days later, I contacted them and bought both. Thanks again! Great company and I do recommend them and the product!.

So versatile and well made!
This this is so versatile. It has plenty of room for two cats and is especially great for traveling because you can exspand it out and give them. More room without letting them roam around the car. It has a pad in the bottom for comfort and so many different ways to zip it up to separate the cats if needed. It's also sturdy and doesn't crush down on the cats. Really cool carrier at a fabulous price! Update. My daughter uses this for her cats A LOT. they like how they can spread out while traveling in the car due to easy opening sides that give it more room.

Well Designed for Skardie Cats
These carriers are OUTSTANDING 🤗. Transported three feral cats to the Vet for neuter/notch/return.Simple loading, either top or front access. Rugged mesh & zippers; withstood clawing & a few gnaws. Easy to clean from acccidents. The deep pockets hold & protect documents. Freed up hands when carrying! Handle cover is a nice touch; gentler on hands with no digging in.Will order several more for the house cats. These carriers are roomy, especially with the sides extended. Great as an emergency evacuation kennel for shelter stays.

Fits Air Canada requirements, but fold down expansions may not be necessary for more timid pets
Bought this while flying with my 10lbs cat from the US to Canada. I used a size small "DryFur Pet Carrier Insert Pad" inside in case of accidents, which fit perfectly. I had initially thought the fold-out side flaps might be good to give the cat some extra space while on the plane, and I tried unfolding one of them once we were in the air. However, I eventually realized that the poor cat was not at all interested in seeing all the scary things around her or stretching out, and actually just wanted to curl up in the smallest and coziest possible space for the entire flight, so I ended up sipping the size up again and covering the carrier with a light scarf to block out the draft and the sight of the scary strangers. So overall I would have done just as well with a simpler carrier that didn't have the side-expansions; but a larger or more active/brave pet might appreciate them. The fur padding inside is soft and thick, the carrier is light to carry, and although the 18x11x11" dimensions are listed as slightly larger than the under-seat size specified by Air Canada, the soft sides allowed it to be fit snugly under the seat anyway.

This is by far the best carrier I’ve ever had
Woooow! This is by far the best carrier I’ve ever had! My boyfriend, myself, and our apartment-raised tabby just moved across the country. For a 5-day road trip, we needed something super comfortable and roomy for our 9lb, 3yr cat. This carrier passed the test with flying colors! We used the seatbelt latch to fasten into the car seat, and were able to fold out the opposite side to give her room to turn and lie down comfortably. (We added two hand-sized towels for additional cushion.)There is a pocket on the side where we stored her bowls, treats, and wipes. The mesh lining as especially useful for ventilation through the hot states like Arizona and New Mexico, so that our kitty could bask in the AC just like us. It provides the perfect mix of flexible so that she can move around and structure so that it’s easy to carry/move.Everything worked well and we couldn’t be more impressed. Buy now and your pet will thank you!

Add some touch then it will be a perfect coach for a big cat
This carrier is big and sturdy. The liner inside the wings fall off and the foldable wings collapse inside. I knew these problems before purchasing by reading reviews carefully, but this carrier was the biggest. I used a double sided tape to keep the liner attached to the wings and used clips to keep the wings not to collapse inside, so that my cat still has the full space. The zippers are not so strong, so I used clips once I zipped every parts up. Previously I flew with my cat in a regular carrier with stronger mesh, which cut my cat’s whiskers because Mandu constantly pushed the corners to escape. He indeed escaped once from the previous carrier as I didnt clip the zippers. He didn’t escape from this Jet Sitter. Probably because I locked the zippers and also it gave him enough space to chill and stetch. Make sure to use clips on zippers to lock. Also I used pheromone spray (I sprayed on layers of kitchen towel and pulled out one by one over 5 hours of travel), pheromone neckclass, and some drops. My cat is extremely nervous when traveling and he is very active and strong. Luckily this travel was smooth thanks to this Jet Sitter. I recommend. Just add more touch to the product to make sure your kitties have enough space.I purchased large size but it fitted under AirCanada economy seat. Wiggle a little bit to squeeze in. Note that AirCanada legroom is larger than other airlines.

Looks like a well made product
I've not used this to travel yet, but set it up to see how it looks and my cat walked straight into it! He's currently sleeping in it now! Considering I used to have to wrestle him to get into his wicker style one I'm shocked! He's got room to stretch and clean himself and the fur inside is so soft! Looks like a well made product.Edited to add we still use this 5 years on, it's done us well and got us through 2 house moves and lots of weekend trips too. I'd say we've used this well over 100 times now and it's still in good condition and I love that it fold flats which means we don't have a big bulky carrier taking up space

Great value for a well designed travel carrier.
For under $50 in Canada, this is a five star product. It's well made, has some nice features (the seatbelt buckles, the slider fabric for your roll luggage, the wings) and while it takes a bit of work to go from wings out to wings up (you have to also unzip inside soft inserts to put them down, and zip up both inside and out to put them up), it's not bad at all. I thought my little dog (a 5 month old miniature Australian Shepherd) would not like the conforming space of the medium bag, but he got used to it pretty quickly. I think once he's full size (about 15 pounds) it is going to be a tight, tight fit for him, but we bought it for longer trips where he will hopefully be sleeping most of the time. With the wings out, he can definitely stretch out. Very happy with the purchase.
